"Feel Good" Threads As 2007 comes to a close, I thought it would be nice to have a thread to remind us of all the great things that happened at yorkietalk this year. I can think of several, but will choose just one to link to, and let others have the fun of bringing up the rest. Here's one: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...t=maddie+alive |
Wow, Thanks for sharing that story...it was truly amazing. A true feel good story. It made me think of Jake...I'm new here so it has not been told on here before and it is about another breed besides the Yorkie....not sure what kinda breed old Jake was. Anyways....... A few short months ago we had a strange shaggy dog come into our yard. He was friendly and so starving, that he ate the food in mid air as I poured him some into a dish. He was in bad shape, but not horrible and was oh so handsome. Here is his pic. Yes one of the nicest looking dogs I had ever seen. In fact I wish I could find another just like him. Whatever he is...LOL! Anyway we took him to the vet after being here a few weeks, to get checked out cause we really thought he was thrown away. I thought he was here to stay. Well he was wormy, had fleas and ticks...his fur/hair was so matted under it all, although you can't tell, they had to cut him all the way down. Oh boy Jakeford did not like his hair all gone....he hid the rest of the night without supper. Here's his after pic. One morning I got up and Jake was gone...I cried my eyes out....but he was home by noon and hungry...LOL...then another time he was gone all night...again I cried but he came back the next day, again hungery. One day he left before supper and we have not seen him since. I have let go of Jake...I just hope he is in a good place where ever he is. The other night I dreamed he had returned...sadly, he had not. But thats OK. Just maybe he was passing throw on his way back home and I was there to help him out through LOL maybe a little too much... At least that is what I like to believe. |
