How do you say it? An earlier conversation with a friend brought this question to mind. How do you say "Yorkshire"? York Shire, kind of seperated, or Yorkshure, one word with the "i" sounding like a"u"? |
I call them yorkies...or if long, I pronounce it yorkshire |
Well since you are from the south like me you just say dawg! :) |
I mostly say yorkie too but if i say it in full i pronouce it 'yorkshure'. I am pretty sure that is the proper way to say it but I could be wrong:animal-pa |
I say york-sure |
me too |
No, I don't say Dawg...:) I'm originally from IL, been down here though for 22 years and would never go back..and, the correct puninciation of it is York·shire (yôrk′s̸hir) so, does this mean we're all wrong? |
I pronounce it yorkshure |
I pronounce it york-shear, but that's just me.........:p |
