So angry and disgusted by the scammers out there.
 

I have been scammed. Thankfully, I at least got my Jesse out of it.

As some of you know, I adopted Jesse, a supposed puppymill rescue from a "rescue" called RMARC in Southern California. Jesse was listed on 1800saveapet.com, as well as here on YT. I will provide links below.

I paid the $300 rehoming fee happily. I was told that RMARC neuters all of their dogs, and since they had not yet neutered Jesse, I could bring him back for neutering with their vet, which would be included as part of the rehoming fee. I was also told that he was AKC registered and up to date with shots. When I picked Jesse up I was told that they had not had a chance to get his medical and registration papers from the vet office, and that they would follow in the mail. They never did. I was also never able to get a hold of the contact at the rescue to schedule a date for neutering. Not a single phone call was answered, not a single message returned, not a single email replied to.

I began to suspect that they were a scam. I attempted to file a complaint with Paypal. No suprise, the account is now inactive and the seller not available for contact.

Just now, I was browsing the YT threads and found a gem in the rescue/rehome section. The same woman who I adopted Jesse from (her name and phone number are listed in the thread), is now offering other Yorkies for adoption through a different rescue name. Beware of her! I doh't know whether these are really rescued Yorkies being rehomed by an incredibly irresponsible woman, or a total scam. For all I know, she is stealing dogs and reselling them for profit.

I took Jesse for a general checkup when I first got him. Now I need to schedule an emergency appointment. I don't knwo that anything they told me is true. His age, health, pedigree, vaccinations. I also now want to check if he is microchipped. As much as it would break my heart, if he was stolen from a loving family and sold to me, it is only fair that he be given back.

I pray that I am wrong. I pray that this woman calls me tomorrow to clear everything up. If and when she does, I will be the first to clear her name. In the meantime, beware! She is actively advertising Yorkies, and is even a member of YT. If anyone has had experiences with her or knows something that I do not, please share.

I fear for the condition that her "rescues" might be living under.

At least I got my sweet Jesse. Others are not so lucky.

I am sorry to hear you are dealing with this situation; it is good that you discovered her scam so fast. I read the thread and some yt member was on to her.:thumbup: It's good you are putting this information out for everyone to be aware of especially since she is using another name on yt.

Whoa - what other name is she using. You should report it to Admin.

As far as I know, she is not using another YT name (although she very well could be). She is now using a different rescue name. Like, and entirely different organization suddenly emerged.

Ok, I get it now...she has used 3 different names for the rescue.
