It's raining.... it's pouring.. the old man is snoring.... *sigh* My babies are trained to go potty outside, but it's so wet out there and I don't want them to get wet. Plus, I just gave them a bath last night and they hate going on the grass when it's wet. They were wee wee pad trained when they were puppies, but now when I lay a pad on the floor... all they do is TEAR IT UP!!!! LOL... they have no idea what it is. I guess it's a good thing they are trained to go outside. Anyways, I really don't want to take them outside to go. Are there any other suggestions? Is there a way I can pad train them again? Probably not huh... *sigh* |
I KNOW!!!!! I'm so HAPPY it's finally raining! I can hardly believe it to tell you the truth. Max is not so happy about it though....at first he was barking at it, and then he just stood in the doorway staring at it like "you expect me to go out THERE????"....he did go out eventually, but he definitely isn't as thrilled with the rain as I am, LOL! I know how you feel after just having given them a bath though.....Max runs first thru the sandy area to get to the grass.....don't ask me why; he has to run all the way across the patio to get to the sand, LOL. I'm just happy I didn't just have him groomed! Enjoy the rain; I'm sure ours won't last long:( |
I wish i could give you some suggestions! It's pouring here in the UK too..absolutely miserable! Pixie is very good at going outside, but i hate putting her out when the weather is awful, she would never use Puppy pads as her breeder had only ever used newspapers, so if i put a few sheets by the door she will use it if she has to. |
My dogs use both. I leave a pad down and when I can't take them out or it is raiining, etc. they will use it. If you use the washable pads and they won't be so likely to tear them up. If you are interested I do make them to sell. |

morgan's trained to only go outside too so when its raining all day i usually watch to see when it lets up a little then take her out or i put a rain coat or hoodie on her so she doesn't get too wet. usually she hugs the house and tries to stay out of the downpour. |

If they poop on the pad, of course I pick it up and flush it. But when I wash the pad I usually run it through a prewash or rinse. Then just wash as usual. It does not leave any smell or residue in your washer. If you like you can put Odo Ban or white vinegar in the last rinse. It is really not a problem. When they are soiled I just fold them in quarters with the dirty side in and stack them by my washer until I have enough for a load. They really don't stink that way. Then I just dry them in the dryer. They come out great! Don't use fabric softener or it will reduce the absorbency. Before the days of disposable diapers we washed the cloth ones in the washer they same way. Here's a recent link where they are talking about them right now. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=105464 |

I usually let the customer choose the fabric and then I make them. Here is a link to the fabrics I have available right now. http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u.../?action=share |
