Yorkie Scam!!! =( Coastalk9rescue@aol.com COASTALK9RESCUE@AOL.COM WAS THE ONLY NAME AND FACE I EVER KNEW THROUGHOUT THE TRANSACTION AND A LADY NAMED SARA... ABOUT A MONTH AGO I FOUND AN AD ON THE 800-SAVE-A-PET.COM AND FOUND YORKIE BABIES ON THERE FOR ADOPTION IN CALIFORNIA. I WAS NEW TO THE WHOLE IDEA OF HAVING A DOG, BUT I KNEW WHICH ONE I WANTED. I EMAILED THE LADY WITH ALL THE INFO AND THEN I GOT A CALL BACK FROM HER. SHE TOLD ME SHE HAD A LITTER DUE IN DEC 4TH WHICH IS WHEN THEY TURN 8 WEEKS, I ENDED UP GETTING A PUPPY MALE FOR $650 ADOPTION FEE WITH $150 DEPOSIT, I ASKED HER HOW MUCH IS THE MOM, SHE SAID $150 PLUS $150 FOR DEPOSIT, BUT IF I GET THEM , IT WILL BE $1000 FOR BOTH.. AND THAT I WOULD NEED TO SEND MONEY THRU PAYPAL IMMEDIATELY IF I WANT THEM BECAUSE THERE ARE OTHERS WHO WANTS TO BUY THEM. I WENT AHEAD AND SENT THE MONEY. I WAS PROMISED I WILL BE RECEIVING A PICTURE OF THE PUPPY AND THE MOM ONCE A WEEK. I NEVER RECEIVED IT. I THEN ASKED 2 WEEKS LATER IF I CAN PICK THEM UP SINCE WE WERE LOOKING INTO GOING TO CALIFORNIA FOR THE THANKSGIVING WEEKEND, SHE THEN SAID THAT THE DOGS WEREN'T READY YET , BUT SHE HAS ANOTHER MOM AND MALE PUP AVAILABLE FOR ME. I THEN SAID YES, THATS FINE, WHEN CAN WE GET THEM? SHE THEN TOLD ME SHE WOULD BRING THEM IN WEDNESDAY THE DAY BEFORE THANKSGIVING AT NIGHT, BUT I WOULD NEED TO SEND THE MONEY BEFORE SHE DOES, BUT THIS TIME THRU WESTERN UNION. IT FELT WEIRD BECAUSE NOW THEY WANT TO GO OUTSDIDE OF PAYPAL, AND CHANGING TERMS ON ME. AND THREATENED THAT IF I DIDNT SEND THE MONEY I WOULD JUST GET MY MONEY BACK, OFCOURSE I WANTED THE PUPPPIES BUT TO SAVE MYSELF I CALLED WESTERN UNION AND FOUND OUT THAT ITS NOT A GOOD IDEA TO SEND MONEY TO ANYONE I DIDNT KNOW, FOR THEY DONT GUARANTEE IT. I THEN TURNED AROUND AND TOLD THEM I WILL HAVE THE MONEY UPON DELIVERY. SHE SAID FINE. MIND YOU.. FOR 3 WEEKS, I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK FROM THESE PEOPLE. I WOULD CALL SOMANY TIMES AND NO ONE WOULD CALL BACK. SO WEDNESDAY CAME, NO DOGS. I CALLED ALL DAY THANKSGIVING, FRIDAY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY FINALLY MONDAY I GOT A CALL AT NIGHT TELLING ME SHEW WOULD DROP OFF THE PUPPIES IN THE MORNING BETWEEN 8-12 MAKE SURE SOMEONE WAS HOME. I THEN HAD MY FIANCE STAY HOME AND MISS WORK UNTIL 1PM, NO ONE CALLED NO ONE CAME. SAME GIRL CALLED ME AT 5PM AT WORK TO TELL ME SHE WASNT COMING.. THATS GREAT .. SHE THEN TOLD ME TOMORROW.. AROUND 6-7PM FOR SURE.. AND THEN GOT CUT OFF.. I NEVER HEARD FROM HER SINCE. THE WEBSITE THEY HAVE IS PAWPRINTSBYTHESEA.ORG THE LADY'S PHONE #IS 909-519-6323. ACTUALLY THEY ARE MEMBERS ON HERE. THEY HAVE SEVERAL POSTINGS ON HERE. I AM CURIOUS TO SEE IF ANYONE HAS PURCHASED ANY DOGS FROM THEM? IF SO, DID U GET THE DOGS? I AM NOW GOING THRU A DISPUTE WITH PAYPAL, ACTUALLY I DID THAT 4 DAYS AGO, THE DAY THEY FINALLY DECIDED TO CALL ME AFTER I PLACED THE DISPUTE.. THEY EVEN APOLOGIZED.. CAN U IMAGINE? IM HEART BROKEN BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN EXPECTING THESE DOGS AND WELCOME THEM TO MY HOME.. MY DAUGHTER IS 9 YRS OLD, AND SADDENED ABOUT THE FACT THAT PEOPLE WOULD "STEAL" MONEY FROM INNOCENT PEOPLE WHO ONLY WANTED TO PROVIDE A LOVING HOME:mad: -CATHY |
I had a VERY similar incident with Sarah. Were you able to get your money back? If not, please email me (dom@domzanghi.com), and hopefully I can help you out. After an amazing amount of persistence, we were able to pick up a yorkie from her. We were fortunate to finally get the little bundle of joy. I would NOT recommend even contacting the organization that has coastalk9rescue@aol.com as an email address (or pawprintsbythesea.org). |
I am so sorry this has happened to you. Do you know what these people's user name is on here? Seems like I've read a very similar story before on YT. Praying you get your money back & a healthy, happy puppy from a real breader - with morals & honesty. Those folks sound like brokers, not breeders |

My wife an I have been trying to find a young Maltese for rescue for a couple of months. Just over 2 weeks ago we found one through 1-800-save-a pet.com at a rescue called "Paw prints by the sea" and paid through PayPal the money to cover the adoption. Since then we have been getting the runaround and though we have arrangements to pick the dog up on Tuesday (3 weeks after we were first supposed to pick up the dog), the address we have doesn't look like there is anything there on google maps. Maybe the rescue is just very busy or is it a scam? Has anyone heard of "Paw prints by the sea" or "CoastalK9Rescue@aol.com"? If these places are legit then I'll stop worrying. Thanks. |
