treat question I have been reading about treats .. a few come up all the time.. cheerios and carrots... is there a reason that these little guys get people food .. are the a supplement to their diet how often.. thanks.. Friday my Pebbles arrives!!!! |
I don't give mine cherrios or carrots. Mine get all natual chicken bites. I have bought holistic bisquits before. |
picky My yogi is so darn picky with treats. he will only eat like 2 from a whole bag and never even sniff them again. the only treats he always eats is these little training soft chew from petco and as far as chew stuffs he loves bullysticks like no other, although they stink we put puppy breath freshener in his water so it doesnt affect his breath and we lay him on his blanky when he is chewing. ok the TRAIN-ME! treats from petco are what we use to train yogi. he knows come, shake, half of roll over and play dead, sit, and lay so far. he is so cute when he dies hehe and the bullysticks are at petco for like 1.50 for the small braided ones that are perfect for yorkies but my boy chews the medium sized braided for 3 bucks a pop. he is on his first one and its lasted him 2 weeks thus far so its a good investment for a small pup. but beware the smallest sticks last like 1 day. |
I think most give them because they are small, healthy treats that the dogs love. I know mine go nuts for both of them. |
My Tino is allergic to chicken and peanut butter...ingredients in many doggie treats...so I give him cheerios and carrots so he can have a treat at times too. I also allow him cheddar baby goldfish from time to time. |
Yorkies don't have to have people food. Ellie gets entirely human food though. I prefer it over processed dog food. I think you see so many people feeding Cheerios and carrots because they are always handy. |
I use cheerios and carrots, because my guys really like them, but then again they like any treats. |
