I just wanted to say hello to everyone this is my first time on this site and first time Yorkie owner. I just got my cutie pie on 11-16-07 and I an just loving it, took me a year to find the right one. He is almost 14 weeks old and is about 2.4 lbs I think seems like each scale is different when I took him to the vet he was 12 1/2 weeks at 2.2 lbs and Petsmart scale said 1.9 lbs and another pet store was 2.4 lbs a couple days ago so I don't know how to figure out his adult est. weight breeder said should be less than 5lbs can anyone help me figure this out. I am also researching there diet I have found out to feed him carrots, cheerios, and yogurt is this correct? I have also bought the nutri-cal (if I spelled that correct) thanks and i'm am so excited to have my new puppy and have found this site.

Hello and welcome to YT! Congrats on your new puppy! How exciting!

I feed mine Holistic Eagle pack, they all have done wonderful on this brand. Just do some research, try to stay away from foods that have by products and corn in it.

Can;t wait to see some pics of your new baby!

Welcome to YT! According to your baby's age and weight, he should be in the 4 - 5lb range.

So Happy for you I am new well about one mo. I am also a first time owner his name is Duncan. I found this site and I love it people are so nice and so helpfull. I give my duncan cherios as treats and he loves them. I feed him Nutro you can find this at pets mart I mix dry and wet. If you need anything or have any questions just ask the group they have all the answers. I hope you love this site as much as I do!! Keep in touch. :animal-pa

Hi I still have not figured this site out yet hopefully I will have pics soon. I am feeding him Royal Canin mini puppy 33 hopefully this is a good one he seems to love it

Thank you I hope that he will be no bigger than 5lbs but I still will love him anyways, he goes to work with me everyday he is a very good puppy.

Welcomr to YT! I'm new here too! I love it here. There is soo much info that is so helpful when trying to decide how to raise your pup. I have a twelve week old boy. He was born 8-31-2007. I've had him for about a week. He is my forst yorkie and I think this is the smartest cutest little breed ever. I am just in luuuv with my little one. I don't have a name for him yet and if I don't come up with something soon, he is going to be just "puppy" HA HA. Anyway, glad to have you here!

Oh my puppy was born on 8-24-07 we named him Chewbacca AKA Chewy how much does your puppy weigh? Chewy is 2.4 lbs almost 14 weeks old

Congratulations on your puppy..Most of the vets offices(unless they use a baby scale), use the big scales that weigh by 10ths instead of 16ths, so maybe that is why you're getting different weights. 2.8 at the vets office would be 2 1/2 lbs. and he's not quite that, so most likely, he will be between 4 1/2 and 5 lbs full grown, although, that's just an estimate..

Welcome, from a fellow Chewbacca (Chewy)!!! My Chewy is almost two, and he's 4.5 pounds. I take him to work with me too, and he charms everyone. Can't wait to see pics of your little guy!!:)
