New puppy coming need advice I will be getting my baby Pebbles this Friday .. I plan on taking off Friday thru Wednesday to stay home with her.. after that I have 2 choices... I can keep her at home confined to Kitchen with pee pad/ litter pad box and come and check on her maybe 2 times during the day. or I can take her to work with me and keep her kenneled and let her out off and on ... durning afternoone hrs i can have her out to play ... what would you suggest.. any input would be appreciate. |
sorry can't help i just wanted to say congratulations on your new baby! |
Is your work a stressful environment? If not, I would suggest doing that. I take mine to work with me 3 days a week...and I love having them there...plus they're always more well-behaved when I get home. If I leave them crated or in the xpen at home, they always go wild when I get there...and plus I feel so bad for them...:( |
reply I run a in home daycare with a friend... I would have her in baby nap room during busy time but at nap time from 1230 to 3 she could be out with me and have special time... |
I would definitely take her then...;) Just make sure the children don't get ahold of her and play too rough...I'm a nanny for 2-year-old twins, so I have to watch them carefully when they play with my babies!! |
max and i think you sould take her to work with you. max has started coming to work since he was 12 weeks and it seems to me that is the reson he is so used to straingers. i think they call it socialized. he is the most friendly guy ever. he greets everyone with a tail wiggle and and a sniff.people always say i think he thinks im someone els, its becouse he is always so happy to see anyone(no barking ever) |

emeraldshadowqueen.. I sent you a private message. |
i just received your answer emerald.. would you be comfortable to exchange email address? |
she would not be out and about with kids... only to go potty ... i would not allow kids to play with her... not for awhile. and then would be supervised with me... |

you are so lucky to be able to take her, good luck and have fun! |
Yea, i am lucky and everyone there is so anxious for me to get her.. coworkers and kids... |
thats great! let see how meny people go out and get theyr own baby.becouse they will all fall in love with her and want to keep her |
It's nice that you have the option to take your baby to work with you. I hope that it works out for you. Also congratulations on getting your puppy! |
I would take her with you since you can, what a wonderful thing to be able to do. If not I would confine her to a smaller area then the kitchen until pee pad or litter training is well established. If she is a chewer it could run you into trble to letting her have the whole kitchen. Ex-pens really work wonderfully and give them more room then a crate |
i have heard people mention play pens for them any thought on using a play pen... |
the bad thing about crating, is that you should only keep them in the crate for however old they are...like 2 mos. no more than 2 hours, 3 mos. 3 hours etc. I would suggest an xpen, this way you can set it up in your kitchen, you can put the pee pad at one end, and her bed at the other end, and her food and water in between..if you want, pm me with your e-mail, I'll send you a picture of how I have mine set up...I love the xpens.. |
First congratulations. If you can take her to work that's what I would do. Try and see how it works for the two of you, and the other members of your office. |
