Who's Macho Men Sworn Never To Be Seen Around Yorkie Has Now Turned Into Big Mushes? This is hilarious just because when my husband bought Sophie for me Christmas 3yrs ago he swore he would never be seen walking her. He's a really tall big guy. I was like fine whatever. He also had owned 3 previous dogs all big. After a couple of days with her she just stole his heart away with her mischief. It like she knew how he had felt and was like OK it's me and you now buddy. Now he gets the biggest kick out of her. Brags about her all of the time says she has the most personality out of all the dogs he ever had. Tells anyone who will listen how smart she is. Their practically joined at the hip those two. Sometimes I'll get home and look for them in the bedroom and there's Daddy sleeping with Sophie in his arms. He so proud walking her around the neighborhood too or could it be he volunteers to walk her because she's the biggest chick magnet hmmm? |
It sounds like you have a kind and sensitive man. I'm sure the chick-magnet thing has nothing to do with his motivation for walking your pup -- it's just sort of a fringe benefit! |
I think that my DH is...GUILTY AS CHARGED WITH BEING WRAPPED AROUND THE YORKIES' LITTLE PAWS! :p |
My DH Is definitely mush |
Hubby's a mushman now. Where ever we go he is the one who has to carry him. Talks about him all the time at work. |
My hubby was the same way and now he loves Piper and Sebastian. |
That is so sweet. Now that i think about it my husband sure talked about Ollie a lot to family at thanksgiving..... he just cant seem to stop explaining his special personality!!! And he loves to walk him!!!! He loves to "tell" him "walk" and see his excitement!! |
My construction working husband is the same way! He'll be carrying Lola around with her head on his shoulder like a baby. We just got a new addition and I told him to stay away from her...I'll catch him cuddling her and saying "I'm not touching her". It's very sweet how much these "guy" guys turn to mush around little love bugs. |
lol.. gotta love these stories.. our guys try to act tough! we have 4 dogs and if asked my husband would say we have a mastiff and some "girly" dogs.. now he is all about the girly dogs! he actually calls her "his little princess" can we say uber mush!? |
That's so great that your husband feels that way. Mine too...he's always asking Izzy for kisses, cuddling her and she is always outside with him when he's doing guy things like leaf raking and practicing his golf putting...lol...but somtimes has to bring her back in the house cause she likes to chase his ball. He even asked me yesterday what Izzy wanted for Christmas as he wanted to get her something...now that's cool!:D |
Mine too My husband because a sweet and tender hearted person around both of our dogs. |
Forget to say that my husband took pictures of his boys to work with him to show his co-workers. |
I would have to say my Dad was the one to turn to mush, my fiance had a yorkie at his parents house so he was already taken. My dad got Sarge for me as a gift and when I brought him home Dad said "THAT'S what you wanted?!?!" We've always had huge dogs in the house my entire life, so needless to say pint-size Sarge didn't measure up at first glance. Now when I go home for the weekend my dad sneaks in my room to get puppy and gives him "breakfast", (turkey sausage and scrambled eggs). Oscar and Emmy (a combined 200 lbs.) don't get sausage and eggs for breakfast...lmao. :D |
It took me 10 years to convince my husband to get me a Yorkie. Now I get maybe a kiss after the kids do. He goes home every day at lunch to have quality time with the kids. It's so sweet how Yorkies turn grow man into mush....:D |
My husband has never had a problem with the girls being Yorkies, being seen with them, etc. He dove in from day one and has loved and spoiled them as much as I have. However, I do find it pretty entertaining that he doesn't mind taking them out and walking them in full outfits (dresses, etc.) Doesn't phase him a bit! |
