Lana scares me for the first time.. She got out of my yard and into the neighbors yard! Not tooo scary till you think of the neighbors dog, a german shepard and a chuawawa(sp)! The CH is in training with a specialist because it attacks their kids too! Its drawn blood and their 2 yr old needed stiches. And Lana got herself stuck over there. We were very lucky the dogs just barked a weird pitch at Lana and she stayed in a ball in the cornor of the fence. I knew to run out when I heard the odd sound of the bark. My husband put rabbit fencing down our fence but left the last 2 feet without and of course thats where the G SH dug. What afright for me . Lana wants to go back out to play, no fear in her! |
How scary for you! Beter get Hubby working on that fence again. |
That was a close call. Glad she is ok. |
That must have been scary. It's something how they think their so big and bad. |
We have been having the same issue with our yorkie digging under the neighbors fence to visit with their golden retriever. (the retriever digs also!) They are both 8 months old and just want to play but the retriever is just so much larger and plays way to rough!!! We put up chicken wire but they managed to dig under it so now we have huge bricks lined up along that side of the fence!! Looks ugly but I dont want to take any chances!! 6 years ago my chihuahua got out of our fence and a different neighbors dog picked him up in his mouth and shook him and this punctured his spleen and collapsed a lung. So please be careful....it is scary when they get through the fence!! Glad yours is safe! |
How scary! Maybe dig a trench along the fence line and either line it with planks of wood or bricks? Mum did this for our Jack Russell and it worked perfectly. You can also get some dog-away stuff and put it along the fence line - since I'm in Australia I can't suggest a brand, but maybe someone else can suggest something? |
Aw! I'm glad she's okay. My you have an explorer on your hands hehehe |
How scary for you! :( I am glad she is ok!!! I can relate to that feeling and it's a horrible one!!!! |
:2omg: Oh no, I think I will:fainted: if this happens to me, so glad she is fine what a brave little girl:p |
