I'm "THANKFUL" to Yorkietalk Hi Ladies: I'm not a new member but am rarely on anymore but pop in once in awhile from time to time. I just wanted to thank all of you for having this wonderful site. This past weekend I had a horrible experience with my lil guy Miko (3yrs old) (4lbs) He must have ate something that either didn't agree with his stomache or something that he wasn't suppose to eat. On friday morning and afternoon he was fine, and all of a sudden, he started to follow me (that's usually a sign of him telling me something's up) He threw up 2 times and became Lathargic. I put him on his bed and he just laid there, and was almost dizzy like, I tried to put him up on his legs and he didn't have any balance. This has never ever happened to him, so I was just confused as to why he was acting this way. I quickly got on Yorkietalk and started doing some research in the sick/emergency folder and found someone that had given there yorkie some plain yogurt, I figured it didn't hurt to try since he hadn't ate or drank and started to think he may be dehydrating also. I also got the turkey baster and squeezed some water into his mouth. In the next couple of hours he threw up one more time, and after a couple more hours, he was already feeling much better, in the next couple of hours he was gaining more strength and by the next day, he was totally back to normal. I'm not sure what this was?? But I'm so glad you guys are here, and although I'm not on often, you guys have always been a wealth of information to me. |
Isn't this a great place to be. Glad he's all better. |
