What does everyone use for tangles? I have begun using the CC system, and I don't know if I am doing something wrong with the ice on ice, but I don't find that it does that great of a job of getting out the tangles. I don't have problems with mats, its just the tangles. Maybe I just need to invest in a better brush or comb for detangling. Any suggestions on detanglers, brushes or combs that make this job a little easier, please let me know. |
This might be a stupid question... but what is the CC system. I would also appreciate any suggestions, I'm always looking for ways to make our nightly grooming a bit easier on the both of us. |
CC is Chris Christensen Systems. I've used the shampoo and conditioner three times and the leave in conditioner almost every day for about two weeks. It has made an incredible difference. I can comb right through Gus' hair after blow drying it now. His hair is so much silkier and it smells wonderful. Thanks to everyone who recommended it. |

Kim, do you use the normal conditioner? That is the product I like the most. I could be wrong because I use all three but I think that is what makes the hair so silky. I leave it in a few minutes before rinsing. Gus' coat is on the cottony side and these products have really made a big difference. |
I bathe condition and rinse spray down with leave in (ice on ice) and then comb out the tanles and then blow dry and then spray down again before I brush the tangles out. I don't use the ICE, I use the Plush Puppy Reviva Coat. But if your worried about the process, then I hope this helps! |

Lordy, Lordly, who knew that finding the right products could be so confusing. LOL Maybe if I spent this much time, effort and money on products for my own hair, possibly it could look a little better. Amazing how much we go threw to find the best for our babies. :yorkiesar |
Thanks for all the info. You guys all know so much, I'm jealous. Is there a website where I can buy the CC system? |

Tangles I use a horse shampoo that is very inexpensive compared to many of these products that are featured today. It also can be used on dogs, cats and humans. Mane and Tail and wonderful old Suave conditioner. I have wonderful silky coats with no mats or tangles. Keeps the coats growing and I have stopped wrapping the coat on the male that I am showing and the one that stud that I keep in coat. The coat is not breaking due to rubbing, the carpet or belly bands. It will save you a lot of money Wnalegria |

After the posts on the CC system, I planned to order, now I'm not so sure. It probably isn't the correct thing to do but I use regular Pantene shampoo and Avon's Skin so Soft, just put a few drops in the water and my two seem fine. When I have a matte, I work it out with my fingers. Usually this occurs when I leave a rubber band in too long. |
My Rosi gets matts close to her skin, she had a puppycut around a week ago and groomer said that i am going to have my hands full as she has very thick fur, she is only 14 weeks and not to coap. yet, she fights me every step of the way. Trying the CC system today...oh boy |
1 Attachment(s) RMKC, Rosi has such an adorable face!! My male has the thicker wooly coat and I finally gave up and started having him cut in a Westie cut. It has made my life alot easier. |
I too use mane and tail on my horses, my dogs and myself and it works great. I use Johnson's no more tangle for knots and one, two, three there out. |
1 Attachment(s) I agree CC Ice is not for to get out tangles - it's to prevent them. I used Johnsons No More Tangles on Cheri when she was getting them - now I use a light spray of the Ice on Ice and no more tangles ever - You only need a very small amount - it's a Finishing Spray - LittleIzzy - your baby is just adorable - I noticed your avatar too - your baby there looks alot like my Chanel....here ..I'm playing with a new frame program - |
red98vett, You know, the first time I saw a picture of Chanel, I thought the same thing. Who knows, they may be from the same blood line. I see that you are in Houston, I am only a little less than 2 hours from there. I will try the Johnson No More Tangles. I use to use that on my daughter years ago, I don't know why I have not thought of that for my yorkies. Great idea. As far as the Ice on Ice, I am beginning to think I am using it way to heavy. I kinda soaked Mia in it when she was wet, then dryed her and added a little more before brushing. I think I will try lightling misting and see how that goes. I will update the results on that in a few days when she gets another bath. Thanks bunches. |
