What would you prefer
 
Would you prefer to have one yorkie, or to have several? I have a yorkie and a biewer both boys, and I really enjoy them, but I also have some other dogs, and often feel that I'm not giving them all the same amount of attention, and I feel like a bad mommy.

I really want one more. I would love Bella to have a snuggle buddy and a playmate when we are not home. I would love a Biewer baby girl:rolleyes:

I have 4, So I know what you mean, I try to cuddle each one daily and give equal time, my boys dont cuddel like my girls:rolleyes: I think they know how much we love them all, My girls are sorta tied to my hip:p They all no the routine real well, right down to when its time for a treat:)

I have two yorkies and I will always have them in pairs. I plan on getting a maltese in about a year also. Then Ill be done

several. I'd like one more. Since Bella is a yorkie mix, I'd like a purebred yorkie or a Biewer or a Parti. :) Maybe one of each.

I think its great to have more than one, I truly believe that dogs thrive on the companionship of others in their own species :)

Oh I think the more the merrier. I have 3 Yorkies and 1 mini-dachshund. I would have several more Yorkies if I could take care of them all. They are all such loveable animals. All 4 sleep with me. Good thing I have a big bed. They all have to snuggle up with me. Don't know what I would do without them.

I have been thinking about getting a sister for Gracie, but each night when Gracie snuggles on my shoulder or under the covers, I wonder if she would accept a new sister and if I could love #2 as much as I love #1? Gracie does have 4 cats to play with.

Oh trust me, it may seem impossible now, but you would love #2 just as much in a very short amount of time!

I have two and from now on, I always will. It's just so much fun having both of them to cuddle and play with!

Oh I agree with Angie, You could love #2 as much as your first. All you have to do is look at them in the face, and your heart will melt.

Aww, don't feel this way! You provide them with a safe and nice home, you feed them, and provide them with human and canine companionship. Trust me, it matters more to them that they have their other canine buddies than you think! You are providing them with a pack, and I'm sure that they love you for it! And I know you aren't a bad mommy to those dogs! Trust me, we have seen bad dog owners all over the internet, and you SURELY don't fall into that category! :hug:

I understand!! We have Reese who is a 7 year old chi who doesnt get as much attention as Ollie (8 month old yorkie). I feel so guilty sometimes... but i really think Reese gets more attention now due to my guilt than before Ollie joined our family. The thing is that Reese really prefers to sleep all day long and will growl if his sleep is interrupted!!!
But yes i do want another yorkie!!! I feel Ollie would LUV a playmate and i would enjoy 2!!!

I prefer to have several:D It just depends ont he person on how many they can handle i guess. I have 3 and i give each so much attention. They all sleep with me and everyday i take time and hold each, or sometimes have 2 in my lap at the same time. I will play with all 3 of them, and i walk them at doff. times cause i can't handle all 3 outside by myself but i would love to have more once i get a house. :)

Sometimes I do feel guilty but Reece is more cuddly than Soleil anyhow and definetly more needy than her too...but I would have a houseful if I could!! :)

You are deffinately not a bad Mommy! If I could dream,I would have 2 yorkies,1maltese,1 norfolk terrier, i great dane, and 1 french bulldog. In my realistic world I have Jasper & in about 2 weeks i will have my much anticipated baby girl! So.2 yorlies for me!

We have a house full of Yorkies and wouldn't have it any other way. I love to watch them play and interact. They always have a playmate ready able and willing to have a romp or someone to snuggle with.

I'd do ANYTHING for another yorkie :( so those of you considering another one do it for people like me with mean hubbys who won't let them have another yorkie yet!!! even though barbie wants a brother soooo sooo bad!!! err!!

any suggestions from those with a few?!?! :)

I always wanted an army of little dogs. Two yorkshire terriers named Tbone and Tina, two papillions named Peter and Pippa, two daschunds named Daisy and Dino, two chiuauas named Chuy and Chiquita, two maltese named Mickey and Minnie... seeing a trend here?
