Another exercise pen question I'm looking for an exercise pen that has 6 panels where the panels are removable so you can adjust the size of the pen bigger or smaller. Does anything like this exist? |
I believe I have seen them. I don't have one. To make my pen smaller I just fold in one of the panels and secure it with an extra latch. Works like charm. |
This is the xpen that I have..it comes apart and you can even buy two extra panels to add to it if you want a bigger one. I am going to buy a couple sets of extra panels to use in the yard in the summertime so he can play outside more... http://www.petco.com/product/5992/No...t-Yard-XT.aspx :D |

I have a grate white one, it is 30 inches high..it folds up so tight together is looks so small..folds like an acordian. it is not in the least bulky..we got it at Pet smart....absolutely love it, plan to get another one..:animal-pa :animal-pa |
Here's a trick to keeping them from jumping out: Always open the "door" to the expen and let them walk in and out. If you never lift them into it, they usually don't think of that as an exit. It's worked for me. Bernie climbs our gates but has never even tried with the expens. Also, it's easy to make them smaller if need be, as a previous poster mentioned, just by the way you set them up. Removing and adding panels could become a pain, IMO. Just food for thought. Good luck! |

  This is what we always did too. Also, I used that folded over panel as a gate. We set up our x-pen in the hall, rectangle style (1 panel by 2 panels) and slid the folded over two panels to block the walkway to keep her from the other room when she wasn't in the crate. It worked perfectly! |
