Stop the begging I think I may have found a way to stop Asia from begging. Everytime I'm eating something she wants it. So today I gave her some. I was eating a lemon out of my ice tea. She has been sniffing it and swatting with her paw, but has not been brave enough to put it in her month. The couple of times she has tasted in she just shakes her head and sneezes. Oh and last night she learned how to jump up into the recliner for the first time. Unfortunatly(sp) I was eating a sandwich and she landed right in the plate on my pickle. |
So are you suggesting giving a lemon when begging starts? I guess that could work until they get a taste for lemons  |
Yea Chachi would just enjoy the lemons also. There is nothing that I eat that my dogs don't beg for. |

LOL...I thought Maximus was the only freak that like peppers...I was cutting peppers once..turned and a sliver fell...and he was OFF!!!!...you'd think he stole lobster or something the way he was protecting that thing...lol |
My hubby grew some really hot peppers, my son just touched it to his tongue. Bronx found it and put it in his 'stuff' pile, didn't look like he chewed on it much. :dribble: |
They can be strange little ones. Since I started this thread she has now gotten use to the taste and is carrying it around. Still not eating it, but I guess it's back to the drawing board. |
I felt that way with my kids, too. I figured out one day how to make him mind all the time! Unfortunately, it only worked that one time. I was so disappointed. :yelrotflm |
:rofl28ib: I actually got choked when I read that first post. Oh! I've got to add something. The lemon might work if you can plug their noses! :D |
I remember someone suggesting using hot sauce to keep your dog from biting your fingers so I tried it with Tuffy.. and yeah, he did stop biting me.. just long enough to lick every single drop of hot sauce off my fingers! :p He loved it! |
