I use a carpet powder made my arm and hammer for pet odors..I let it sit for 10 mins or so and vacuum everyday...candles and my bestest friend!! Fresh air is always a way for odors to escape..even in the dead of winter I open my windows once a day..to air it out in here...my house always smells nice...OUST is a nice spray as it gets the odors out just like they advertise!! Oh at this time of year baking cookies helps too!! hehe.. Dawn |

I sweep, swiffer, and clean a lot. Be sure to change the pads often. I also like to use candles. I avoid the 'plug in'-type air fresheners as I've heard to many stories of them starting fires. |
I get a triple whammy, I have Teddy but I also have a Cat (litter box) and my husband and I are both smokers. I am a scented candle FREAK  and I do the mopping also, but I have found that for those little in between freshen ups I use the Febreeze air effects spray. They smell awesome and the spray lasts for a long time. I use that for unexpected company in between thorough cleanings as I only get to do that about once a week around my work schedule. |
I use the febreeze plug in fresheners and candles..:( |
With 7 dogs in the house I sweep, swiffer, clean three or four times a day. Great excerise - who needs a treadmill ;) I use pinesol on the tile floors and the dogs are not allowed on the carpets. They actually mind and stay off the carpets. The floors are all laminate so the swiffer works fine on them. Seven dogs = 14 baths a week Living in CA allows open windows all year long. No one believes I have 7 dogs as I'm a clean freak...:p Pads are changes and sealed in plastic bags until they go out to the trash. They are worth the work! |
Even if it's 30 degrees out, I open the windows each day.....pretty much one room at a time. Glade make a spray called air infusions and the 'clean linen' scent is wonderful. My place is small so it means I am always scrubbing and cleaning. My yorkie is good about her pad but I buy the cheap ones so I can pick up after every pee and into a a plastic bag tied shut immediately. I went into a house that smelled of pee once and from that day on I have done everything I could so mine would never get like that.. Over the holidays I use candles but only then. |
I clean wth pinesol. I use plugin air fresheners, candles and fabreeze |
True Air Odor Eliminator by Hamilton Beach 1 Attachment(s) I use the Hamilton beach True Air Odor Eliminator .... One filter lasts up to 120 days and they have a special one for pet odors .... The odorsmart carbon filter traps and neutralizes odors, it does not merely cover up the odors. I paid $19.99 at Linens-n-Things but you can get them on eBay for less ... And I use Febreze and Glade plug-ins as well .... |
I always have my Yankee Candles or tartes going That way always smells good. |

My daughter lives in a 900 sq ft apartment with a yorkie and it always smells fresh and clean...so yes it's doable. She doesn't use candles, once in a while she uses in a Bath & Body plug in. |
I use the plug in airfresheners too but mostly 'cause I like the smell. I use the relaxation fragrance. Our house is new and Murfee has been house trained for a long time and goes outside to do his business so I really don't worry about odors yet...at least downstairs. Upstairs is a different matter 'cause my daughter and 2 granddaughters live up there with their 2 cats. I just stay downstairs:D |
I try to just keep the house clean. I like to use the arm & hammor carpet deodorizer before I vacuum if I have it. I also like glad plug-ins, candles, and febreeze for the couches :) One day, when I have my dream home, there will be no carpet |
Gold Canyon-- ginger lime scented is the best!!! It has a very clean scent and EVERYONE comments about my nice clean smelling house. It lingers for hours after burning!! Are there any YT members who sell gold canyon??? I need a consultant. |
