peeing & pooping in crate HELP!!! I have three 4 mos old pups who were doing pretty good with going on pee pads. Last week they started peeing and pooping in their bed. Here's how I have it set-up. X-pen - Inside xpen washable pee pads everywhere crate with bed and blankies in corner food water other corner Any suggestions?? |
I heard someone say before that you put the food and water on one side, the bed on the other side and a peepad in the middle, leaving them no extra room to pee anywhere else. |

Yeah, that's pretty much the way I have it. They really don't have anywhere to pee except pee pad, but they are also going in their bed/crate |
Did you buy 3 or did you have a litter?? LOL I have an xpen set up for ginger, she is going to be 16 wks tomorrow..I have her xpen set up kind of strange, as when she would stand on it, she was moving it all over..What I've done is her bed is on one end, then I have the xpen folded in abit, then there is one little area she can walk through to where her pee pad is..this separates the bed from the pad really well..of course, now, I'm home all day, so she's in the family room with me all day, until bed time, so, I've taken her water and food up out of the xpen..if you want me to send you a picture over of how I have it done up, pm me with your e-mail and I'll take a pic and send it |
I would suggest moving the pee pads away from the food. WIth my guy he would alway pee and poop furtherest from his food and water. |
Ginger wouldn't eat or drink in her xpen..now, Teddy, her brother eats in his all the time, but, they have the food and water right back behind his bed. |

LOL we had a litter - I kept one of the girls and my daughters took the other 2. I have them most of the time because They are very busy with school right now. I only work part time so I'm able to care for them. They will be taking them when they are 6 mos old. I've noticed that the boy is the one that pees everywhere:eek: . The girls are alot better and only have accidents every now and then. He will be getting fixed @ 6 mos maybe that will help. Should I do the whole crate thing?:( Thanks everyone for all the suggestions!!!:D |
I would keep the wee pads away from the food. They might not like going by their food. |
