My yorkie/ my blessing I am going to get a little mushy here, so please consider yourself warned. When I first brought Gizmo into our lives this past May, many in my family became convinced that I had lost my mind. I am so crazy about this little guy, that I admit that I go a little (or a lot) overboard at times. My family often teases me about being "that crazy dog lady". My co-workers put up with it all with a sort of amused tolerance as well. My oldest son came over to visit the other day and had this to say about it all.. "Mom, I love you, and I support whatever or whomever brings joy to your life.":) Isn't that great? That's exactly what my yorkie does. He brings joy to my life. And in this crazy world we live in, here's to embracing every bit of joy we can find for ourselves and our families. :love-hug3 Happy Thanksgiving everyone. :D |
That is very sweet!!! Happy Thanksgiving to you too!!!!!!!! |
oh, that's sweet!! My daughter just told me I'm loosing it from spending too much time on YT :D and being so crazy about my furbabies These little guys are wonderful bright lights in our life |
Happy Thanksgiving to you also, I hope you have a great one. I too love my yorkies, they are family and we take them with us travelling all the time,,they love it and love being with us,.they bring me more joy and comfort then I could ever have imagined. So you are not alone..lol pooh's mum |
Judy, We are twins seperated at birth...lol... Jolie came into y life this past March and Jax in May. I am crazy about them... My youngest child is 21 yrs old... and I have longed for a grandchild for many years now. My daughter was married to a man who is sterile and we had that news last year. it was devestating... and sorry to say they were so young and did not seek proper counseling to help them overcome such devestaing news and it ended in divorce. Well to try to get to the point ... I thought it would be forever , so I got puppies. I love babies and puppies. I am an OB nurse and see babies everyday. So anyway my motto was God did not fill my arms with grandbabies do I got yorkies... well... some people just get it all because guess what A grandbaby is on its way... my granddaughter is due in April and Jax and Jolie willhave so much fun with her. I will dress them all alike. Hehe.. My grown sons think I am crazy ... I say yes I am about my yorkies. So I feel so blessed as well. |
Judy my friend I couldn't agree with you more....my son is grown and out of the house and Lord knows when I'm ever going to get grandchildren..lol...and that's OK...so for now Izzy is my joy and my life right now (of course I have my husband but he just laughs and tells me he's second fiddle to Izzy;) . I wonder if it's that mother/nurturing instinct? Gizmo not only do you give your mommy joy you give all of us here on YT joy everytime your mommy posts pictures of you....hey mommy...share him more will ya!!!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family and Happy Thanksgiving to all my YT family as well. xoxoxoxo |
Judy that was a sweet post. I feel that way about Alphy too. I loved my Max but there is just something about Alphy... Abby too. She's my big love. :) |
Obviously, not only was I blessed by my yorkie, but also my friends. :) |
Judy that is so how I feel about Murfee. He even has a tshirt that says "favorite child" on it. |
Judy, that is so sweet. I know just how you feel. While I love both of mine equally - Roxy the teenage girl - stubborn, bullheaded, mouthy, drama queen who only wants to cuddle on her terms:rolleyes: and Remi - my little sidekick who will cuddle at he drop of a hat and never leaves my side, I'd be lost without either one of them. Thank you for making us stop and remember just how important these little furbutts are to us. To any who have lost their precious buddies, my heart goes out to you and I hope that at the right time you will be able to let another little furball wiggle it's way into your life and help mend your broken heart. They are truely a healing gift from God. |
That is so sweet!!! And just how old is this son?? So i might know when one of my 5 might start showing some understanding??????? |
Judy, that was such a nice post and your son is such a wise, caring person to say that to you. " Happy Thanksgiving " to you also. :rose40: |

Shhh...don't tell anyone, but I think all of them (hubby included) are just as much in love with the little furbutt as I am. ;) |
Judy...Gizmo...Winston and I want to tell you "Happy Thanksgiving". We do have so much to be thankful for, we are all truly blessed with this little being, the Yorkie. As my momma would have said "My Cup Runneth Over"... |
That is great! What a nice son you have! |

Ah! so true. We have three and they make my world go around. Wouldn't know what to do if I didn't have them in my life. Our daughter teases me and says the dogs have more toys than she did. We take them everywhere with us. Such a joy in ones life. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!:animal-pa |
I am in love with Gismo and his mighty tongue( in your avatar). You are blessed to have a loving family and your precious little Gismo. I wear a shirt that says, We had to get rid of the kids, the dog was allergic. My kids are all grown, and all know Sawyer runs the roost around here. My daughter says they all want Sawyer to love them best just in case something happens to me because they know he would inherit everything.:D :D |
What a great post, Judy! I'm crazy about my guy, too. He's 10 now and I shudder to think of the world without him someday. In many ways, he's the baby I was denied. Words can't describe how precious it is to me to have that chunky little body smash up against mine, or to watch it slowly tremble then begin to jump wildly up and down when I arrive home at night, or to hear that playful little growl as a squeaky toy is bashed against my shin. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your as well! Sounds like we've all got a lot to be thankful for.:) |
How sweet of your son. |

Awww, they sure have a way of working their way into our hearts, don't they? |
I totally agree with your philossssophy Quote:
like a child & accuse me of preparing for the new pup as if she is a newborn. Well, guess what Judy, I told them, at least they give unconditional love and ask for zip.I wish you a joyful, splendid Thanksgiving and enjoy all of your posts dear sweet Judy in Waco!! ;) |
Know exactly what you mean. When mom was alive she was always teasing me, saying 'Maybe if you son was to get married and give you some grandkids you wouldn't be so gaga over them dogs!' She's probably laughing her head off right now - because since she's been gone I've added 2 yorkie pups to my household. |
That is a great son with great insight! I am still waiting for my family to realize the full extent of the joy that Bella brings me. My husband gets it I think! He will hang with me on YT for a few min... then walks away shaking his head and tells Bella...Your mom is crazy..lol Happy Thanksgiving to you and your beautiful family! |
