we had 5, until July when my TBone went to Rainbow Bridge.... it was not really any harder than 3 or 4. we have 4 now and it is really no different than when TBone was here, except I overcount alot... hehe
I will get another one day, we want another little boy....

Yes , A little male same age as molly and just as small:) either way, I have decided to at least watch him while they go on vacation:D

When I brought Teddy home, my husband didn't know until he came home from work, and there was Teddy. He wasn't happy at first, but he came around real fast!

Since you already have 4, maybe he won't notice (ha ha)

If you've decided to watch him while they go on vacation....then you've basically made the choice.....once he's there, he's probably not going to leave!:D

No this is my daugher that was just married, that might be the other option, my other daughter who I was thinking of buying one for christmas, I know im probably confussing you all,:rolleyes: she is my youngest that just moved out a few weeks ago, she was just here and we talked about her taking him, I beleive no matter what he will stay in our family;)

well my sister has 10 maltese ... and she does just fine with them... all get clothes and have special tricks they do... and most of all they are so loved. yes take him... he needs you.

Well I have 8, well 9 now. Once you get past 3 it really isn't that much different, lol. So if you have the money and room for another, I say yes!! Good luck with whatever you decide!!

I have 5 yorkies and a poodle terrier mix. FIVE ISN'T ANY HARDER THAN 2 OR 3. The only downside I see is that it is harder to take 6 dogs with us. We used to take all of them everywhere.. but 6 is a little difficult. Leashes get tangled, etc. Also it is harder to find a spot on my bed for me to sleep. lol

Littlewhip. I have five Yorkies. I really don't have any trouble handing the five. The only real issue I have right now is that two out of the five are still babies. My Jersey is almost 9 months and Lilly is 7 months. I'm sure you know how hard it is to potty train these little brats. The three are fully potty trained but Jersey and Lilly are not 100 percent yet and give me a run for my money. My husband calls them the little s**t machines.

The only issues with five is expense. The vet expenses of owning five sometimes gets crazy. You have five to get shots for, five to have teeth cleaning done, and then you have to worry about the expense of anthing major with their health going wrong and if they are all the same age or close to it the vet bills as they get older can really rack up.

Grooming too is an expense but I'm fortunate enough that I can do it myself. Not perfectly, but nice enough to save me the $$.

I would have a really hard time saying "no" if it were me, but I have 4 right now and I definitely don't think I would add another.

My reasons are:

I have a lot of expenses w/4 furbabies and if one got seriously ill at this point I would have an extremely hard time coming up w/the funds. Just last month for minor things (swollen gums, fleas, an infected scratch), I racked up 350 in vet bills and just today my lhasa is having runny stools so she will need to get in on Monday.

Training-- I have slacked on the training w/my last two puppies. I'm embarassed to say this buy McKenzie doesn't even know sit yet at 8 mos (we are working on it :p). I am so busy running around cleaning up after them, grooming, feeding, ect ect it is really hard to get the time in w/each one.

I wouldn't trade mine for anything, but it really is much harder. Trips out with the dogs usually have to be split up into groups. Walks usually have to be taken 2 at a time.

You may be in a totally different situation and if you feel you can handle it, I say go for it!! :) I'm just giving my opinion on what my thoughts are for myself on if I could have another, which for me is a big ole' NO, hehe :)

With the dog with runny stools, try giving him some kaopectate(I just got a print out from the vet the other day, it said DON'T usee pepto bismol, but you can use the kaopectate. Wow, 2 little ones running around, I know how hard that is..I had 2 that were within 3 mos. of eachother years ago, once of that was enough for me..:) hope your one gets feeling better..but, try the kao first and see if that helps with the runs..

Thanks all for your input:) She is bringing him here today, see how its goes with my others, He was just at the vet, so thats a plus, he has had his rabies and all shots, Going to have her bring her camera so i can post a pic for you all;) Gosh i cant wait for my own camera, I will be getting one soon though:p yahhhh, I having them here for dinner today, since they are travling to Illinos for thanksgiving:)
