Pet Store Robbery Did anyone watch the Today Show this morning? Apparently there was a pet store who got robbed of all their "hot" puppies (like Malts, Yorkies, Shi Tzus, Chis, etc) and the show made everyone feel sorry for the poor pet store owner. They had surveillance video of two masked men who stole the puppies and their food, etc. They were probably going to resell them. Anyway, what made me extremely pissed off was that all these dogs were probably from puppy mills and everyone felt sorry for the heartless owner. He offered a $2000 reward and the 6 dogs stolen were valued at over $6000. He just looked sad because his profit was gone. Here's a link to the Today show, but I cannot find an article on the subject: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032633/?ta=y |
PLEASE PET STORE ROBBERS....send those babies to good homes - they at least freed them from a sad life - but it makes you wonder what they're going to do with them - Too bad it wasn't some Anti Pet Store fanatic...but they would have taken ALL the poor animals... It's getting REALLY scary out there for small purebreeds and popular dogs - no one wants to work for a living it seems these days - stealing used to be cars and such - now it's big business for just about anything. Those poor poor doggies. |
See, I am kind of HAPPY they got stolen. Screw the pet store. I am sure that some people will unknowingly buy these pups from the thieves. Hopefully those new owners are good people. We can only hope. |
I think this might be the link. Was the store called Just Puppies in Orlando? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8418320/ |
I heard about this the other day. Someone had posted about it. I hope that they get those babies back but it is possible that they are already sold. |
I am not sure about this. I am kind of happy that the puppies were taken from the pet store if they were taken by a kind person who opposed puppy mills, but what if the burglars stole the puppies to sell them on the streets? Their lives might have been better if they were in the pet store and not being sold on the streets. I don't know. This is a sad situation. I feel so bad for those poor, innocent puppies. |
Lets look on the brightside..maybe they did steal them to find them GREAT homes and take them out of the horrible conditions they were in!! |
I watched the video on MSN today- it made me very sad that they were stolen. It was very sad that they only took the smallest breeds. In my head I will think they are going to good homes. Because it frightens me to think otherwise. Just say a pray for those babies. There was a puppy stole out of someones yard in my small town. That scares me....for other dogs, Macy never is outside without her leash or in my arms. Someone would have to nap me also cause I would never let go! |
I only feel bad for the puppies who so far are not living a stable life. First they live in a petstore and now who knows where. Hopefully they will go into good homes. It is wierd that people would steal dogs from a petstore b/c like the article said they are worth much less without papers. I wonder if the robbers didnt think that through  . This makes me think maybe they did do it to save the puppies :D |
It wasn't me. LOL But good for them..... |

HMmmmmmm? Kristy what were you doing on the night in question? |
oh my gosh! i watched this too. how sad is that. i was thinking the same thing as far as them not mentioning anything about where the store owner got these dogs from. but like you all said i hope that they go to good homes and good people, i just can't help but be in disgust with the things that people would do to make a buck! shame on both of them! :thumbdown i think the pet shop owner is in noway better than the robbers. their just the same in my book cold and heartless  |
