Sound Please! Ok...my little Roxi has been passing gas like nobody's business! It's really bad because it kind sneaks up on you and it smells horrible! I hate to say it, but I would LOVE it if I had some sort of warning like "noise". At least then we could prepare for the smell. We just changed her food from Royal Canin Puppy 33 to Solid Gold Hundchen Flocken and the rumble fest began shortly after! She also burps...which is hilarious! Anway...any advice? |
Did you wean her over or do a quick switch? How's her poop? If you did a quick switch, go pick up a small sample bag of RC and mix it. You can also give her a bit of fresh pumkin, it's a great cure all for the bowels. Alana |
She actually isn't eating 100% Solid Gold yet. I still mix a small amount of Royal Canin in her food. Next week we are planning to take the Royal Canin out of her diet completely. I will definitely try the pumpkin! Thank you so much! I've also noticed that she wants to eat more. She was doing 1/4 a cup of Royal Canin twice a day, now she wants to eat before she goes to bed. Is this normal or did she get the midnight snacking from me? |
Gino is a good tooter too. No sound just a silent but deadly smell. He burps too...such a man! LOL |
If she wants more food she's either 1. not getting the nutrition she needs or 2. her system is digesting the food too quickly (empty stomach) and wants to fill up more often (how do you feel when your belly is empty?). Why are you switching from Royal Canin? I feed mine a mixture of a few different foods and have no problems at all, one of the foods I include is RC. In fact one boy I used to foster showed up with "a sensitive system" and within a few weeks of being on the "mixture" he was "regular and normal". Alana |
Another issue with "smelly fluffs" could be a small virus in their system. We had a Shepherd years ago that could clear a room, we took him to the vet (yes, it was that bad) and within a few days he was back to normal. Alana |
Because her feet were itching soooo bad ( at times she would try to put her entire foot in her mouth), the vet suggested that she may be allergic to corn or another ingredient in her food. With that in mind, we switched to Solid Gold. She loves it! I'm thinking I may not be feeding her enough. Sounds like I may need to call the vet again huh? |
lol srry this thread made me laugh. Teddy once passed gas and got scared lol |
