Gracie's Hair Hi All, I was not sure where to post this, but I figured I would post it here. I have two little ones - Lillie and Gracie. I was brushing Gracie's hair last night and I was brushing it, big clumps came out. Now Gracie is only five months old and she has always had different hair than Lillie. She has the really thick hair that knots almost immediately and when she was young, it was a bit curly. So is this normal? Is this her baby hair coming out so the new hair can come in? One thing to note is she definitely is not missing much hair - she has a body full, but I just thought it was weird that so much came out. The reason I ask is Lillie's hair never did this as she was getting her adult hair, but then again her hair is very thin. |
Wish I could help you... Turbos does the same thing, but his is on the thin side.... No help here, but I can't wait to see the replies! |
Wish I could help. Maybe she's getting her adult coat, I give mine Omega oil because Lida has some weird hair, I don't have a problem with any of them as far as hair falling out. |
baby hair The hair you describe sounds like puppy hair and they all lose it at slightly diff. times. Just keep an eye... is it coming out at the roots and leaving bald places? |
Hi - It is not coming out at the roots - it is almost attached to the hair near the root. |
If she has a cotton coat it can break easily while brushing it, hope this helps:thumbup::) |
Deiter has the silky thin coat, his has come out in a little clump before. But not nothing that bad. But when I brush him, I don't do it when his hair is dry, a lot easier to brush that way. And I brush him 2 times a day. |
type of brush I would def. make sure you are using the right type of brush one your baby. I have diff. ones for every occasion. I do brush when dry... but not a deep brushing... more to keep the leaves off and the hair on the top layer somewhat presentable after playing outside... |
When Zoey's pup hair was changing, where the old hair met the new there was a knot and it would come off in clumps. |
It sounds like cotton type, which yes it can break easily when getting knots out. I would brush often so it doesn't get knotty and use like a shine spray or something. Also maybe leave conditioner in for like 2 minutes when you bathe her. |
