using thinner shears on yorkies I have used just the straight shears on my young yorkie but am thinking I should thin out some of the hair around her face & maybe neck area. I really don't know how to use a thinning shears on a yorkie. Am wondering if anyone uses a thinning shears & how. Elcameno:confused: |
Me too! :D |
Since I hate that bang over the eyes....I use thinning shears to blend it back. Some of my clients don't like that even rounded look.....so I'll make it a bit more natural by using thinning shears...also in the summer time I use it on the legs to get hair shorter without it making appear chopped......just a more natural look Hey Connie....you know who taught me how to use them that way? |
Thanks so much for your reply about using thinning shears. I think that I read somewhere that when using a thinning shears that you don't cut near the hair roots & also not at the ends-- That you need to make a cut several inches down from the hair root? Elcameno |
I happen to use it near the hair root especially at the eyebrow level, this is how I get the hair to blend in and lay flat without making it appear blunt cut. I only use the single sided tooth shears. |
