A story that will warm your hearts We took Mojo (the new kitten), Smokey, and Chip to the vet yesterday. Our appointment was at 4, but didn't get seen until about 5 because of an emergency. The vet just had to put a dog down and was upset about the fact he had to do it. He felt bad. Anyways, he said last week a family brought in their recently adopted 9 month old rescue dog in with a severely broken leg. They couldn't afford the cost of it, so they were going to put it down. One of the girls that works there at the front desk, who I've known since middle school, adopted the dog right then and there. She depleted all of her own money and raised money at the store for donations for him to make him better. Now he has what he needs to mend his leg and she'll give him a good home or at least make sure he has a good home. She stopped the vet right after he got the injection ready and said that she'd take him. That poor baby only had a few minutes left in this world and someone stopped to save him. She did an amazing thing and I thought I'd share this story with you. |
What a wonderful story - both for the dog and the angel who saved him :) |
Thanks for sharing, that was the sweetest story!:p |
What a great story. Thanks for sharing |
This is why I could never work at a vet's office. I would have 100s of dogs. What a sweet story. |
Aw Amber, that's a truly heartwarming stroy. Our vet, ( a very good friend) has losts of dogs, cats, birds etc. for that same reason. |
