opinions, please Someone told me about this little girl for sale! I know nothing, except I have wanted a liitle girl yorkie forever! A pet, not for breeding or show. She is kind of close by, and up by where I moved from, and they have a really good price on her- they have a few other dogs listed, but not very many. I kind of understand why she is priced so reasonable-that area is pretty low income area. I know you really cannot tell by pictures, but what do you think? I probably will at least go look at her. What do I look for? The main thing is not a lot of medical problems-to pay for! and I'm not sure if pic got attached- if not will try again |

All 3 pics are showing up for me, but you can't make them larger! She is adorable! |
As far as what to look for... do they back up their pups with a health guarantee? vaccinations/deworming on schedule? are all the pups clean/healthy looking.. if you only see this pup (i.e. if they meet you somewhere with her) this may sound silly, but check the hair on the bottom of her feet.. you would be able to tell if she is kept in a clean environment or walks in feces. As far as the puppy goes, I would just want to make sure she has been well socialized and has a good disposition. |

also, check her ears and make sure they are clean. ask to see parents. ask how many other dogs they breed. i would shy away if they breed many. ask if the pup was kept in a cage or family raised. be sure to find out what foods they feed if you bring her home. you want to make any food changes slowly. you can always ask for vet references. i would even ask how many litters she has every year from this pups parents. this will help you know if they are mass breeding. you can make the questions sound like you are just extremely interested in her program, or you can be forward and just tell her you are picky. either way, these are questions i would ask! good luck :) she looks super cute!!! |
Look at paws, teeth, gums, butt, feet, and ears. Rural areas do sell Yorkies cheaper for the reasons the woman gave you. My breeder gave me 72 hours to have my Noah checked out by a Vet for free before my commitment was final. You could ask and see if she would be willing to do this. She sure is a baby doll in her picture! I hope she is healthy and all goes well. |
Have a vet check done..... also if possible, have her checked for liver shunt. There are so many bad breeders out there......... you don't want to get yourself in a bad situation.... in love with a dog that has a terminal health issue... or has to have surgeries that is not within your means financially. YT'ers........ anyone in MO that can help out & check it out??? Two heads are better than one!! |
thank you all- the other picture she is playing with kids-the do have a dew other puppies for sale, but not a lot, and there is a guarantee. She is not a tea cup-expect her to be 4-6 lbs and is 14 weeks old, I think she is cute, too Thanks for the feedback and advice! |
Been checking some more- 100% satisfaction health guarantee-thats pretty good |
