Hi....I'm new to this sight... I just got my baby yorkie, Bella this past weekend. We took her to the vet and he said she was completely healthy. However, she has this odd head tilt at times which the vet seems to think is nothing to be concerned about but suggested that for peace of mind, we take her to a neurologist. I called the breeder and he said we can bring her back and pick out a new pup, but it's notthat easy to just take your baby back and pick out a new one!!! I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this with thier pup. |
Welcome! We have a Bella too! :) I don't have any info about the head tilt, but there ar tons of knowledgable, friendly people that I am sure will have some experience with that. Good luck and keep us posted! P.S. We would love to see some pictures of your sweet Bella. :p |
Welcome to YT! Hope that you find the info you need :) |

Welcome to YT!! Are you sure it's not that cute little head turn when talked to?? Don't want to scare you... It may be nothing, but I would feel bad if I didn't say anything, and there was indeed something wrong. I purchased a pup with a little odd head tilt to one side, and I took him to a Specialist. As it turned out, where the head and neck meet with the spine was developed wrong, and a wrong jump or fall can dislocate that area resulting in needed surgery. He said he sees that occasionally in Yorkies. There was a Yorkie there at the time, that had fallen off the bed and was about to have surgery. I also had surgery on this little guy before any accident made it worse. The breeder replaced him with a different pedigree, (just in case) and let me keep him as well. I have also seen that with Hydrocephalus (water on the brain, usually has protruding forehead, or bigger head). If it is that noticeable, I would have it checked. Good luck and let us know! |
Welcome to yt. To feel comfortable about your baby being ok I would really have the furbaby check again. |
