:) Thanks everyone for your advices. Regardless to some negative attention this has brought forth, I am a good mother to my Twinkle. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion so I have no problem with what others have to say. But I do have to say the comments that were made about feeling “fishy” along with individuals playing Sherlock; I found that kind of humorous. :grin2: I am simply a new mother to my pup and looking for helpful advice. I know many can relate to that. I’ll take in what benefits Twinkle and myself and let other non-beneficial comments fly. To all the kind people who are concerned about Twinkle, I was freaking out just as much but the vet assured me she’ll be okay, seeing as it was a small amount consumed it will eventually flush itself out just as I had thought. He said he still would like me to bring her in for a check up because of the gagging so I’ll be taking her in tonight. I have faith she’ll be alright.

DEFINATLY TAKE HER TO THE VET. If ingested by a human, a human will get sick, so just imagine what can be happening to such a small pup.

BTW, I'm glad our responses gave you a chuckle. Unfortunately most of us reading about a puppy who has been poisoned but will not be taken to the vet for three days didn't find it very amusing. If you stick around a while you will see many heartbreaking and avoidable situations and you'll understand why posts like yours aren't funny.

Yeah....I didn't find that to be a laughing matter at all either....:rolleyes: I can't imagine having found out my daughter drank bleach, started acting sick and then shrugged it off because I have to work!!! :(

:thumbup: Hi, I am glad your baby is doing better. I hope when you go to the vet everything is ok. Yt members are very dedicated and concerned about little furbabies so when you say yours possibly is poisoned everyones immediate response is the baby is your first priority and to get the little one to the vet asap. Be incouraged and know it is out of concern

I totally agree!!! It is no laughing matter. I vote :rollingey !!! This is sick and heartbreaking.

You say in your post that this is serious and yes your right it is, You should of took her right in to the vet as soon as it happened. Never wait..... Im so glad she is ok now. some things can kill these little ones very quick and some things take longer but never wait, by waiting you could be letting it get worse and cause her body damage.

Glad to hear all is well and Twinkles will be okay!! You did the right thing taking her to the vet. Maybe waiting a day wasnt the right thing to do, but you have lived and learned and I bet it wont happen again. Acting fast with these lil guys is very important!!! It does not take much to do them harm. I too have made mistakes and thank god all has worked out. In my opinion you should stick with this site and keep reading posting and asking questions...you cannot go wrong with education, and this site is a wealth of info!

Good luck to u you and Twinkles...being a new mommy can be hard at times...bu tlook at her lil face!! She is SOOOOOOO worth it!! She is a DOLL BABY!

Is this one free? bc pet poison control charges you between i believe 50 and 65 bucks... i know my furbaby means everything to me, but i'm a college student and all the bills for Belle i have to pay for...when the vet looks at her idont have a problem... but i'm just afraid i'll pay for this consultation to be told something not very helpful or something... when it could be better spent on a vet bill or something...

also someone mentioned that poison control works for pets too, does that mean the same poison control for people?

thanks and pls don't find this offensive... i really do believe that being as important as it is it should be a free service or more adequately priced so that it is more accessible to everyone-- i'm by no means stingy with the puppy...i spend more on her than on myself these days... thank goodness she's really healthy, but she is very curious and has gotten into her share of things... thank goodness for emergency vets

Thank you Diggy4 for your comment. :) It's great to know there are understanding people. I still think YT is a great place to ask questions. I will continue to ask questions in hopes of becoming the best mom that I can be to Twinkle.
