Underbite!!!! ?? :) Hey everyone! I just found out that Twinkle has an overbite. Is there anything wrong with that? Any details would be great! thanks all! :) |
It is a fault but it only matters if your breeding or showing. Many yorkies including mine have faults |
what happens if you were to breed a yorkie with an overbite? |
Then the offspring would also have the overbite |
bites Bad bites are a recessive gene..so some of the puppies will have an under bite if bred to a male who carries the same gene...problem is this..you can not tell by looking at a male if he carries the gene..! So in order to lessen your chances of producing puppies with bad bites, you reframe from breeding dogs with obivious bad bites...doesn't matter IMO if the breeder strives for show or pet quality... |
SORRY..i meant to write over bite in the title. does the over bite effect their health in anyway, that's what i'm worried most about. thanks! |
nope, overbite / underbite doesn't effect their health unless they are really bad and cause problems with their eating. Usually this doesn't happen. Look at the english bull dog. now that's a dog with a horrible underbite and they do just fine with eating :) |
My Malachi has a pretty big overbite but it doesen't affect him in the slightest :) |
My persian cat had one and she had trouble eating |
Take your baby to the vet:mad: instead of being worried about an underbite, she wont die from that but can die from poison:mad:. Is she really sick??or are you playing games?? I sure hope not:( |
How is your puppy doing after ingesting poison??? I am simply baffled you are posting about her under or overbite when you posted earlier that you thought she might die??? At least let us know if the puppy is doing ok, or if you have even seen/talked to the vet yet. PLEASE!!! |
