I'm just seeing this now. But I'm so glad that Winston came thru his neutering well. It was so hard for me to hand Rudy over to the vet tec the day we got him neutered. So I know how you felt. I'm sure you can't wait till you can get him and give him lots of hugs and kisses. Give him some from me. |
He is home!!! They let him come home early because hubby had our golden retriever there. The golden has bad allergies and it's not fun (this is our first year with this trouble). I did not know about the e collar until after he got home. I called them because he was licking himself and we now have one. He has stopped licking and is sleeping. He ate food as soon as he got home and drank water. He even went out to potty once. Now, I just feel bad and I really hope I did the right thing. I know health wise I did. I think I just feel guilty. Maybe when he is back to himself I will feel better. I hope. Thanks everyone for the support, it has helped so much. Big HUgs to all of you:) |
That is great news.:) Have you thought about using a baby onesie instead of an e-collar since they are a lot more comfy? |

Lol, call me crazy but I still haven't left Ellie (and it has been two weeks). I am going away tonight though. About the onesie, you may want to get a couple different sizes to try. Ellie fit in the Gerber 0-3 months (she is 5 1/2 pounds) but they weren't long enough to snap. She crawled out of the neck of the 3-6 months ones so we made the smaller ones longer. We also put them on backwards so the snaps are on the back (not on the incision). |
I am so glad to hear that he is doing well. :) Hugs to you both. |
So happy all is well:) get better soon winstin:p |
Hi Winstin so sorry I just caught this post (mommy was sick for 3 whole days and not on YT..yikes)....I am so happy you are home and doing so well you will be back to your old self by tomorrow for sure. :D |
Glad this is behind you. Now you get to be the support system for the next person nervous about it. :) |
Thank God that everything is ok with your baby, you will feel better after he is back to himself:doghop: |
I can not believe how Winstin is doing. I am having a hard time keeping him from jumping. Not sure what to do about that  I am soooooo glad this is over. |
I am so glad to hear Winstin is ok! I know exactly how you feel. I just had Diddy Neutered last Friday. I was a total wreck all day! I also cried when I dropped him off. As soon as I got to work they called me and said his testicles did not drop so they had to go through the abdomen. They had to make 2 incisions. He also had 4 baby teeth pulled. I was so upset and worried about him. It was a rough weekend but he is so much better now, a week later. I had to keep a onesie on him all week because he would not leave those stitches alone. I guess if Winstin is up and jumping around he must be feeling a lot better. :) Diddy sends Winstin hugs! |
