My first 2 yorkies grown up in the snow country and they were fine with snow but they get cold easily and wanted to come home earlier than summer time!!! One of them used to jump into the fresh snow!!! :D But be careful, snow will tangle with hair and make lots of snow-ball in their hair!!! I would put coat or sweater if you have some so they don't have to be too cold!! |
Yeah, that sounds young for long periods of time. My rule of thumb for my older guys is that if I can keep them from shivering, it's OK. I do that with clothes, booties and keeping them moving the whole time. As soon as they shiver, they either go in the coat or the walk's over. |
im not talking to go to the bathroom but to play in the snow. |

We live in Florida, but it gets cold in the morning, and their little ears freeze. |
snow Some love the snow but yorkies do mind the cold much more then larger dogs do. I've had a couple who loved the snow but don't let her out for very long. It does mat into thier paws and can be very painful til you get it out. |
when i got lacey she was about 10 weeks and we had a spring snow she loved it, i had to amke her come in but remember it was a spring snow so not as cold or windy as now. |
