If you have loans or cc's consider bankruptcy, see if there's a Community Action Agency in your area. Sometimes they'll work with your bank to see if they can hold off on foreclosure. Sell anything you can to get your house payments(it all adds up, even jewelry you love and things you don't want to part with, my wedding ring... everything got sold on ebay but I told myself some day I'll get to replace it all)
We worked with CAA when my husband was out of work for a long time. They helped with a few other bills so that we could concentrate on our house payments. My husband ended up having to go further for work when he finally found it and it was horrible, we had never been apart but you do what you have to. I don't want to post too much personal information on here but let's just say, as bad as you can imagine things getting, it got(woke up the day after Thanksgiving and the truck had been repo'd, try finding work with no vehicle).
This was many years ago and "knock on wood" we got past it and he hasn't been out of work since! Those times were horrible but I just wanted to let you know in this economy you are not alone. Probably many have been there. It will get better(especially with all these positive vibes heading your way). And it makes you stronger(don't you hate that :)
I don't know your income or your bills so I can't tell you what to cut out or what you'd qualify for help but it's definately worth looking into. |
