Guess What Hubby Said... On Saturday, the hubby, myself and two daugthers (fur & human) went to visit with his mother. She abosutely adores Meka and enjoys when we bring her. So, as we all sit on the porch mom starts to comment on what a good pup Meka is and so on... then out of nowhere hubby starts to agree and mention how pleased he is with her & her training and continues on to say that in the future he wants to get her a little brother so that she can have a playmate (and so he wont be the only guy in the house) :) OMG!!! You guys must understand my husband wasnt having it... I never thought he'd agree for us to have two dogs, let alone two yorkies. But, he really has developed a "soft spot" for Meka. I really confirmed it last night when we tucked our daughter in for bed. We always join hands and pray, and upon asking the Lord to bless our family he included Meka as well :D You'll have to forgive me all, but Im just over joyed that he loves her as much as I do!!!! :aimeeyork |

I am so happy for you. :) I know how comforting it is to hear that your husband loves your furbaby just as much as you do. I had the hardest time talking my husband into getting a second yorkie. He loves Bruiser, our oldest, so much and it is so cute to see the way he acts with him. Then when we got Marcus, he had kind of the "well if it makes you happy, but it's YOUR dog" attitude. Now he brags to everyone how cute, smart, sweet, ect that Marcus is. He has always been a big dog kind of guy, but its so cute to see him toting around our furbabies like the proud daddy. He always tells everyone who wants a puppy now that yorkies are the best breed and he'd never have another kind. Congratulations on being able to get another! Now Meka will have a little brother to play with! The only thing better than a yorkie, is two!:p |

How wonderful he has fallen in love with his fur-girl. She must have done what most little fur girls do........wrap him around the paw. :D |

It's great loving our furbabies, but it is a very heartfelt when the significant other cares deeply for them. I am very happy for you and your hubby |

You know its funny that you brought this up. Yesterday at the Philly meetup, there was gentleman there whose dog was not social enough to play in the park so we went to see his furbutt in the car with his wife. He even said he didn't know he was going to love and spoil her so much, but says it was so easy. |

I'm kinda new to YT and I read stories to my husband all the time here on YT. I have to say my husband said it's your dog when I decided to get Lucy. Now one year later,he tells Everyone...she's my baby. Man did she steal his heart. We were just in Gatlinburg celebrating his birthday and walking along the street out of no where a stray dog comes running up to Lucy acting like he was going to grab her and I had yanked her harness up so fast to keep this crazy dog from getting her, while my husband was moving toward that dog like he was going to stomp it's brains out right there in front of everybody on the street. He said he didn't care,if that dog at even touched his baby he would have killed it. He is a crazy man about her and I'm so proud he loves her like I do. She's absolutely a dadddy's girl with the shirts to prove it. Good luck with your new baby. :D |

Thanks guys... It still makes me grin to think of the total 360 that hubby's had since getting Meka in May. As many of you stated, he had that "its your dog" attitude in the begining and of course you can see that he's progressed. Though he still refuses to walk her if she's dressed up (lol), but in time we'll see :) When I go home, Im going to give him a big hug and let him know that me and my fellow YT'rs are proud of him :D |

YAY!:) How could anyone NOT love that little face:love: I truly believe that if a person (male or female) isn't enthralled with a Yorkie, that they are someone I'm not interested in knowing:laugh: |

When we got Conner, my husband said it was going to be my "dog". Now, he does not call him a dog. He is always called "my buddy". Now he is my husband's "football buddy" because Conner stays on the couch with him and actually watches the football game with my husband (something I don't do). They are best buds. |
