My poor little Diddy! I was a wreck all day!
I dropped Diddy off this morning to get neutered. I was a wreck! I left there crying because I felt bad for taking him there and was worried something would go wrong. I got a phone call about an hour after I dropped him off. They said his bloodwork was ok but his testicles did not drop. He said he could feel them so he will do the surgery but they would have to go through the abdomen. I was sooooo upset! They said this was a pretty common thing and that Diddy would be ok. That did not ease my mind at all. About an hour or so later (seemed like days!) they called me to say they were done and that he was ok. I felt relieved and could not wait to pick him up. They had to make 2 incisions and pull out 4 baby teeth. They wanted to keep him most of the day so I just got back from picking him up. The poor little baby is laying on my lap sleeping right now. He whined and cried the whole way home. I feel horrible.
Has anyone else had this happen to their baby? How long will it take him to heal? He kept licking at his stitches so I put a baby onsie on him.
I am so glad the day is almost over. I never thought it would be so upsetting! |
