How do you introduce yourself??? I just realized that as I have been calling the vet for Maximus' neutering I have been saying my name is Samantha, I am Maximus' mom..he is a 4lb yorkie etc. etc., does everyone else do this also or do they say I am calling about my dog?...I realized that I was saying this and people were kind of taken aback??...like your who's mom and why do I care..oh YOUR dog is Maximus!!!! |
I always say that to my vet and in the beginning if I did not, they would ask me. The groomer knows me so well that I just ask if the girls can be done today and they know who it is. Of course, my southern accent probably helps. |
I always call and say "This is Nobella...pause pause...COCO'S MOM." The vet is like OOOOH yess Coco. |

I always introduce myself as Biddy's Mom or Tucker's mom when I call the vet! |
I introduce myself by saying "Hi, it's me again." |
I always say, "Hey this is Preslee, Memphis, Or Recons mom, Kelly" cause they are the only dogs at the vet with those names. |
I think I just use my last name and then the dog's name which the same last name. I will "This is Kim Teal calling about Buddha Teal" for instance. |

How cute. I honestly have never said to my vet "this is Schatzie's Mama", I've just introduced myself by first and last name. How boring is that??? LOL! Next time i will do much better. :D |

We are well known at our vets office too, but I always say my name anyways. I call and say "This is Sylvia Price," pause, no response, "Autumn's mom?" and they go "ok what do you need?" Or if I'm upset I'll go "I need and appointment for Baby" pause, then "Baby who?" LOL But they know when I mention one name who all the others are. I used to say "hi this is brenda- daisy, dora, jaz and abbys mom"... then it went to "hi this is brenda, you know the one with the yorkie and pups" and now when I call... "Hi again" and they say "Hi Brenda how are the kids"... lol. This is a new vet for me, I just started seeing them when Jaz got pregnant. Long story I why I changed, but I am glad I did. When I go into the vet, they say "looks like you still are not sleeping" lol, the vet cares more than the Doc does.... Hopefully soon, I can go back to having to say who I am ;) |
My groomer uses caller ID with Kodah & Stormy's name appearing when I call! :rolleyes: I am only known thru them! lol |
I only say hi I need to make an appointment and then when they ask for my name, they remember who I am, mostly because I usually go with my son and he humiliates the guys at the desk when they can't get past the first level of his gameboy. HA! |
There are two Lisa Neals that use my vet's office. When I call, I tell them I'm Lisa Neal -- the one without the zoo. They know exactly who I am and then ask if I'm calling about Carter or Cooper. The other Lisa Neal is my husband's niece. |
I say my name and that I am Pebbles and Gaby's mom, of course I really don;t even have to say that as they know me very well.... |
I usually just say "This is Magic's mom or Sailor's mom" and they know because we are one of the few small animals he works with...we are in the country and he is mostly large animal vet, but he is great with our girls....they love him!!! |
Yep--- I always say,' Hi, it Mandy Iezzi--Luigi's mom!!! And they always laugh cuz its the only Luigi they have there!!!! |
