You know, I don't know who would care for them. My mom has 2 dogs and 2 cats and that's all she can handle. My dad is allergic so he wouldn't be able to.

I really need to think on this one :(

What I was saying was your family that knows you and is around all the time know's what to do with you lil one. I know my mom would take care of my lil girl. I don't even have to ask her. I know and understand that everyone can die at a drop of a dime. Yea to me this is a morbid post. Why talk about what you would do and what other's would do? You don't know!!!

Exactly, anything can happen at any time. uh oh i hope slade doesn't go to your sis then:eek: I feel bad for her dogs:(

I am aware of these meetups. Our Hailey went to the bridge on Dec. 23, 2006, and it has been a very difficult, wrenching year without her. We were supposed to take Yogi for a friend who had a stroke, but in the end, her daughter took him, and it has worked quite well. If Yogi had worked out for us, I would have gone to the Dallas meetups with him. I think it would look odd to go without a dog, and I know I would begin to weep uncontrollably when I saw all the Yorkies, thinking of my Hailey girl. Not a great way to make friends and influence people -- LOL! It's funny, over ten months later, and my emotions are still so raw, so close to the surface. Hailey was one in a million.

Well i want to be prepared. I do live life a day at a time but i like to be prepared for things and if something happens to my dogs it would be my fault. Srry i don't have such a big family that they can decide what to do with them and i wouldn't want them to decide. What if they get separated? I have 3 and i want them all to stay together. They are very attached to each other.

Thanks so much for understanding. I know that there are many here that care about where their babies go and know how important it is. That's great you have your daughter, she sounds like such a nice daughter.:)

I know what you mean, i would also like them to stay together but besides my bf i don't know who would take them all. My bf also says they are his babies, and is getting mad at me for even thinking anyone else would have them but him lol but this is just if something ever happened to me and him, God forbid but it's just something to think about. Oh and you have 4 already, you think you can handle 7? :p Teddy counts for 2 tho, he is super hyper and all over the place:rolleyes: Just to warn you:)

My animals at this point would all go to my parents. I currently live with my parents so they are used to the animals and their care. My parents esp. my father adores the cats and dogs but won't admit it. He sweet talks them all. Whenever I look at places his first question is so are the dogs going to be drop off with your mother and me when you go to work because you can't leave them at home. He plays ball with them every night while I am at work. I work 3p-11p minimum of 40 hrs/ week so I never see my parents really anyway. My mother says most nights they spend more time with the animals than each other.

HAHAHA, 7 furbabies :eek: :p Well, I'd never leave the house again. :D Oh and yes Pia is that attached. I really wish she wasn't because I constantly worry about her. She gets herself so worked up when I leave and it breaks my heart. :( Actually all of them get so upset but she's just the worse. I have four major cry babies. ;) I surely hope nothing happens to you but I'd seriously love to take all of your babies if they needed a home. I'm sure I could handle Teddy. Paisley is quite the crazy one and I'm sure she'd keep him busy. :) :p

My family and I are very close but I don't think even they understand how much I love Lacy and how are they going to know what I want done with her if I don't talk about it with them? I live alone, 5 hours away from my nearest family and don't have many close friends here either. Most of my friends have moved away. So no one knows what I do with my pets and how I want them to be treated when I'm gone. If you don't talk about it, how will anyone know your wishes when you're gone? You can't expect someone to just know, even those closest to you, if you don't talk about it. And I'm sorry, but if this post is so morbid to you, don't read it! We all have a choice on what topics we read just like we all have a choice on what we choose to talk about. I think this is a great topic as we all need to make sure there is a place for our pets to go if something happens to us.

What about lonely ppl that don't have family or friends? What if their pets are their only family? Are they supposed to not think about what will happen to them if they pass, and let them go to a shelter where who knows where they will end up? What if they have family and friends but none of them want their pets? No harm can be done by being prepared. That is what this forum is for...to find loving, caring ppl for the Yorkie breed like yourselves that you can make friends with, and for those that have nobody can confide in them and know what to do with their pets if something did happen. Just think about those that are really lonely and have no one else, what if they came here to post 'cause they need to find a home for their Yorkies cause they are sick and can't care for them. Would you say that is MORBID too? :(

My babies would go to my Dad, he\'s a wonderful dog owner and I know he would look after them well. However, he is not in the best of health himself so I hate to think about it but I don\'t know who would take them if/when something happens to him :(

I worry about this alot :( my Mother loves them, but she is 78, and my grown kids like them alot, but they think they are just like any other dogs, and i am spoiling them too much....not
