Is that treatable? Is it serious? I'm really worried now! I'm taking them back in this afternoon around 3:30 (I'm leaving work early and can't take them any sooner).
 | Untreated it is very serious. It almost killed Dennis, but once I was treating them both it took about 2 to 3 months before it was over. They were both on Clavamox, and another that was orange flavored, that I can’t recall the name of at the moment. I would grind up a half a pill and put it in cottage cheese and they loved that, still love the cottage cheese. You have to be careful that it does not go to pneumonia, though I am sure in a weakened condition can cause other maladies.
Don't worry to much, it is very treatable but also very contagious. So keep them away from other animals. I was also told that it was air born.
I hope your babies recover quicker than mine. It was so very scary! Hard enough having 1 sick kid, but 2 is a horror. I lost 20 pounds because I was so nervous as well as many times I just did not want to leave them to go shopping. |
