What do you use to clean floors?
 
What products do you use to clean your floors that are safe for our little furbabies? Is there anything you should not use?

For my tiled floors I always use the swiffer on them. I think it would be alright because it dries really fast.

I use swiffer the most, I usually don't let him walk on the floor until its dry.

I use pine sol on my tiled floors but also do not let Conner walk on them until they are dry.

I have hardwood floors in most rooms and tile in a couple. First I use the dry swiffer and then the wet.

I always use vinegar and water. Cleans floor with no residue and can be used on most sufaces. I have old pine plank floors and will only use this.

I have hard wood floors and use orange glow. It dries fast, the dog is always by my side or one step behind me just like when I mow the lawn... nipping at my heels because he wants me to pick him up.

A little bleach in a gallon of water one time and alcohol and water the next time. Vinegar and water also kills molds germs and bacteria just as well as bleach.

I use Simple Green. Its safe to use around pets and one bottle of it lasts forever!!!

I use Murphy's Oil Soap on our wood floors. I keep the furkids off it until it's dry.

Just an FYI on the wet swifter. I have heard that dogs have gotten very sick and some died after walking on floors(then licking their paws) cleaned with the swifter. I have been told there is something like antifreeze in the liquid.
I don't know how true this is but, wanted to pass it along.


I only use Mr. Clean. And I don't let them on the floor until it is totally dried.

The vinegar solution that I use is 1 cup of vinegar to a gallon of water. Make sure you use plain white vinegar. This solution can be used on all kinds of floors, windows, in bathrooms, pretty much anywhere. It will not leave a stinky smell. It will kill odors and bacteria and leave your house fresh shiny and clean. Also, you do not need to rinse it off.
