Going to bed lonely :( Well, I've held off as long as I can. I have to go to bed. BUT Coby isn't here so he won't be sleeping with us. :( We went to see my daughter in her first college pre-season basketball game today. It's nearly a 3 hour drive each way. So Coby's breeder is "babysitting" him. Since we got home so late, he's spending the night. We pick him up at 8:30 tomorrow morning. My hubby and I are both sad. Reggie (our Shi Tzu) sleeps with us (he gets to stay home because he has the run of the house and is 100% trustworthy) but at the foot of the bed - no snuggling. I and my husband, who wasn't really a "dog worshiper" until Coby stole his heart, love to wake up to Coby wrapped around one of our necks or tucked in to an armpit. :D We both stayed up late because it's hard to go to bed without him. I'm getting tired, so hopefully, I'm tired enough to fall asleep quickly so I won't miss him too badly. Funny how in just a few short months, our "sleeping arrangements" as well as "sleeping needs" changed!!! G'Night. |
I sooooooooooo hear you..I dont know what I would do without my snugglers! Dawn |
At least you get to get him very early (and not very far from now!)! |
It is so very hard when you are missing one of your little snugglebabies. I bet you will appreciate Coby all the more tomorrow night :D |
Hope you got to sleep. I can't sleep either, because Penny's leaving tomorrow. |
It's the weirdest thing, you would think that you would sleep better without a furbutt giving you some kind of body cramp because you don't want to disturb them sleeping. But then you just end up lying there, trying to make yourself sleep. |
Ok, I just found out that I'm not the only one......I had to spend 2 nights at the hospital last week and I missed Rocky & Sunnie so much I could not sleep. Now I know how my gr-daughter feels when she can't find "blankie". |
Our family is whole again!! We were right on time to pick up Coby this morning. Yesterday, I was telling her what a good boy he is getting to be and hoped that he wouldn't make a liar out of me (you know how kids do that when you brag on them). This morning I asked how he had done, and she said, "My, he is such a little gentleman!" :note: music to a mommy's ears!! :note: She said he was so polite and never barked, went to bed perfectly and waited patiently to get up. (Of course, she's used to a room full of dogs barking and begging for her attention.) She was so excited to see him (hadn't seem him since we picked him up) because she'd heard from me how cute he is. (For the record, she agreed, he is as cute.) Quote:

How lucky we are to be able to crawl into our beds with that little bundle of love wrapped in fur to smooth all the rough edges of our lives. When I reach out to touch Sawyer at night, it isn't to show him I am there for him, It is to reassure me that he is there for me:) |

Thank you all for your kind words. I just wrote what I thought; I would be honered if anyone wanted to keep it. Sawyer is the most positive thing in my life, always ready to show love, entertain, always thrilled to see me, likes my singing (lol), and listens to all my worries and angers with out ever judging me. A friend like that is priceless.:) |
