Humping question Gizmo was neutered about a month ago. Occasionally, he would hunch his little "love bunny" , but never made "contact". This evening, he keeps doing it over and over. His private area is not making contact in any way, he's just "hunching". What's up?...er....let me rephrase...what's going on?? (We have never seen him have any show of "lipstick" just so that question is answered in advance.) I'm assuming this is normal behavior unless you tell me differently. Right now we are just trying to redirect him to other activities. I'm just puzzled, so any insights would be appreciated. |
i think it's instictive. |
It's all dominance...my biewer(male) was neutered at 5 1/2 mos. the only dog he does it too is my older yorkie, she is very submissive..he doesn't dare try it on the shih tzu or anything else, just the one yorkie..I just get his attention and tell him no and throw a toy for him..it's not sexual, and nothing to worry about |
Thanks for the responses. :) I just had to tell hubby he's being dominated! lol! Gizmo has been bringing his bunny to my husband's lap and hunching it there! LMAO!! :D |
Zoey humps a bunny too. As you know she was spayed, and nothing changed:) We have decided she is just a love machine! |

Louie is humping his stuffed monkey that is bigger than he is right now. Every once in a while I just let him go at it. haha Is that ok? or should I make him stop? |

I am so sorry...I know this is not funny but I am LMAO.... I just know this is what I have to look forward to in the near future.... |
I have to agree...it's a dominance thing. Winston will hump my hubby's leg almost every time he jumps up in his lap. Why? Because all he does is lovingly says "don't hump your daddy"...and thinks that is going to stop him. WRONG!!! He doesn't hump me or any of his toys...only hubby. |

In our house, hubby does none of the disciplining...he's just Winston's buddy, playmate, pal...and yes, humpee... |
