Wellness vs California Natural vs Orijen for dogs with allergies. There are tons of threads on here with info. on each one. Just wondering if any of you had better results using one of these over the other!! Thanks!! |
Wellness and Cal Naturals "allergy" versions are both a bit low in protein, so you may want to add some protein back in - but you'd ONLY want to add (at first, at least) the same protein that is in the food. The Orijen is a fabulous grainless food - a higher protein dog food overall. High protein, despite what you may read, is GREAT for dogs unless there is a health issue w/ the liver, pancreas or something. Orijen doesn't make an "allergy" food, but, if you suspect meat may be part of the allergy (which is not uncommon), you could try their 6-Fish kibble. What is you dog experiencing right now and what is he eating? |
I have Cali on California Natural Lamb and rice and she is still sratching same as always. They love the food though. I may switch to Natural Balance Duck and Potatoe as someone on here mentioned it helped their dog. |
Thank you for the feedback...i was hoping more would respond:( |
I would say go with orijen 6 fish. |
