Postage Meter Wanted I am looking for a postage meter. The USPS website has one that is fairly reasonably priced, but every time I log on and click on buy I get a message that the site is temporarily unavailable. The meter I was looking at weighed up to 10 lbs., had the tare feature AND was under $40.00 I have searched the web over and can't find one that compares......ideas anyone? |
I found mine on ebay, it's everything you've described that you want... Just type in Postage Scales and many will come up... Hope this helps you...:) |
I got mine from ebay too. they have lots of them. The brand name on mine is American Weigh. |
Thanks for the info guys. I guess I will have to resort to ebay. I am really leary about buying from them, but I'll give it a shot! |
I also got mine on ebay |
How are the scales kept accurate? Don't they have to be....oh shucks can't think of the word. CALIBRATED! If so how do you do that? |
I'm not sure about calibrating -- I will have to read the instructions when the one I just purchased from ebay arrives. THANK YOU TO Yorkie3, JeanieK and Shanatink! |
I went on ebay and checked them out they are really reasonible. What one did you get? |
It came from: www.OLDWILLKNOTT.com The postage meter is called UltraShip 35# Digital Shipping Scale. It weighs up to 35 lbs. INCLUDED: AC power adapter INCLUDED: Free shippin' insurance INCLUDED: Peace of mind The meter itself was $9.99 and S&H was 15.60. I'll let you know more when it arrives. |
Thanks! |
I got mine from EBay and I got the scale for like 10.00 but shipping was 15 I think. I will check and see if it will still show me. It was a while ago. It weighs up to 55lbs and has a letter holder and tube type package holder as well w/it. Also the scale and the front where it tells you the weight come apart and just have like a phone cord so you can have it put in a corner and still weigh things. Its real light weight too. about 10"x10"x4 1/2" Its called an Ultra-55 or ultraship 55 the logo says My Wiegh. It does Grams, Oz, KG and Lbs. It also auto resets to 0 each time you turn it on so say you want to put a bowl of fruit on but only want to weigh the fruit. You put the bowl on, hit the on. it will show 0 then add the fruit to know the weight of the fruit. Its real cool. For a while being the blonde I am I couldnt figure out why my readings were off then I saw the tiny button on the side to change to lb:oz instead of KG LOL can we say together DUH!! The only drawback was that it was one of those freight shipping things so it took about 10days to get here. I reall like it though |
wow wow wow wow wow wow wow www.OLDWILLKNOTT.com IS FANTASTIC!!!!! My postage meter came TODAY! Can you believe that? I just ordered it on 10/17 I have unpacked it, but I haven't plugged it in yet..... from what I see it looks really nice! |
Peppy weighs: 58.6 ounces; 1660 grams; or 3 lb. 10.6 ounces...... Did you know thata mouse ball weighs 1.2 ounces..... :D |
weeeee a new toy! :) Does it calculate postage to? |
I know this is very late response but Kern's scale is the best. I know someone who bought it for several years now and have no problem with it. They say that it is very accurate. Here is the link where he found it: Digital Scales - Scientific and Industrial Quality Scales - Kern |
