Want a Bernina Serger ... anyone??? My sweet hubby bought a serger for me online ... I have never, ever wanted one of these. He feels that I am "depressed" since my best friend Trish died in June and I suppose this was a ploy to cheer me up! It only made me mad! I don't want it, am not interested in it nor will I ever want it nor use it! I guess he thought that since I have a Bernina sewing machine that I would want "all things Bernina" ... I do not. Anyway .... this is what he knows about it ... it's the Bernina "Workhorse" of Sergers ... 1100DA .... it looks great and he paid $485 including shipping. Anyone?? He can ship it tomorrow. |

I'm so sorry you lost your best friend, that most be very hard to handle. Women who are real friends are very precious. Got to say your hubby sounds like a gem, what a wonderful thing to do, I can't imagine mine ever thinking of such a neat gift. Hope you are feeling better soon, and you find a buyer for your machine. Maybe I should show my hubby your thread! |
Bettyeanne - how sweet of your hubby buying the surger for you to help distract you from your grief. I can also understand why you want it out of the house ASAP. I just bought a serger or I would be sending a paypal. Keeping you in my  and :hands: |
Thank you all so much for your kind responses. I know my Patrick is wonderful beyond words and I know he means well. I just have to be truthful [as we always are] and truth be told, I would have felt better donating the money to needy Yorkies. Again, thank you and if you run across anyone interested, he still has it. |
1 Attachment(s) This is a picture of "Patrick's" serger! It's still here! :) |
I wish I would hurry up and get a job because I would love to take this off your hands, Bettyeanne. I have never even used a serger but I have heard how wonderful they are. If I win the lottery or find a job, you will be the first that I will contact. :) |
Still with the Serger? Hi Bettye, Still got the serger, huh? Shira has received quite a bit of votes this week, I'm hopeful we can really get her out there as a forerunner. YRC needs the money! I contacted the newspaper and am hoping they will run a human interest story on our mission:):D I'm sure I'll be seeing you tomorrow. I've got 5 of them to groom! If you're feeling froggy you can clip some nails. That's the one area I'm afraid to venture! |

Oh Bettyeanne, I am so sorry as I did not know Trish had passed away. She was a wonderful woman who helped many little Yorkies along with you. I know your heart must be breaking as having a bestfriend is the most wonderful thing in the world. My thoughts and prayers are with you. |

Ditto Bettyanne I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear and well loved friend, Trish. Man I wish I could sew or I would be PPing you too. I hope someone buys from you since it's a win-win siutation...they win on a great deal on a serger and Yorkie Rescue wins big time!! What a sweet husband you have..he meant well.;) |

BTW ... I haven't been on much for a while. It's good to know you're still here ... hope everything is going well! Quote:
I wish you could sew too!! :) We can surely use that serger money for our rescue ... with the economy the way it is, donations are really getting scarce. These babies are still landing in rescue and have to be taken care of regardless of the economy. We are already getting some that apparently have just been tossed out and we fear it will get worse. Yes, my Patrick is definitely one of a kind!! I appreciate him more every single day ... he's my rock!!:thumbup: |
OMG where have I been!!! I guess that's what happens when you move hundreds of miles away!!! I'm so sorry to hear this!!!!!!!!!! How devastating! Tucker & I send :love-hug3 |

I am liking phoenix just fine, but miss all of my friends in Grand Junction. Trying to make new ones out here, but moving to a brand new place can be difficult. |
