yorkie dog play ? when yorkies are puppies .... they have s0o0o much energy and just always want to run around and play . BUT when they are grown dogs (around 3 or 4 years or older) , would they still be as energetic ?! will they gain more energy or lose some ? cause i dont want a boring old dog, LOL ! :D thanx for your answerss . =] |
hahaa princess is only a little over 2 right now and still has tons of energy.. from the other posts that i have read and from the yorkies that i have seen that are 5+ years, they can be still very energetic!!! i heard that they are like puppies for life because they never lose their spunk! :) |
Pipers 4 1/2 and he's pretty mellow. |
Right now a boring old dog sounds really nice to me!!! I think it really just depends on the individual dog and the activity level of the owner. |

Even though Pipers mellow, he still likes to play, so no boring dog syndrome. |
I think it just depends on how much they owner interacts wth it. Both of mine are very playful, but I play with them all the time.. So who knows, neither one of mine are over a year.. In a few more years I will respond again ;) |
Mine are really playful but all are under a year and a half so I guess I can't say yet! Some days I hope mine will mellow out, but I know when that day comes I will be sad and wanting my hyper puppies back! |

I agree. Maybe theres a way to make them hiper, and then slow them down...;) |
My Valentino is 3 years old and he is still a... "Maniac, Maniac on the floor....and he's dancing like he's never danced before....!" Sorry, that song just popped into my head, but really he is just as hyper as ever! |
sorry, mine is 1 yr and 3 mos old and so I have a boring little dog. lol. Well she dont bore us but she is not very playful as far as toys go. she will play with us but only sometimes with her toys. lol |
Otis is 3 and he has never really played with toys. He loves a bully stick, but that's about it. Occasionally he will run and play with my 2 yr old shih poo, and every great once in awhile he will pick up a toy and shake it. For the most part, he prefers to wrestle with me...that's how he plays. He's pretty mellow. My shih poo on the other hand, always has a toy in his mouth. (or 2 toys if he can fit them in) he lays on the floor and plays by himself, it's so cute. |
Henry Is Very Playful, But Does Not Know How To Play With Me Since The Vet Told Me, No More Tugging With Him. I Would Chase Him And Try To Tug His Toys Away From Him. He Says This Is Bad. So We Have All This Energy ,but Nothing To Do Because He Does't Like Dropping His Toys After He Brings Them To Me. He Does't Understand Why We Don't Tug Any More. Gb |
Depends on the dog.. I have a seven year old beagle who if he cold run until he passed out then I know a malti-poo who went from being energetic and a little fresh to mellow and very submissive and shes under a year old. She did get fixed but it was about a month after she got fixed that this happened. |
My Daugter (9yrs) Has Pixie (Almost 7 months)and Pixie has brought out the puppies in my 5 1/2 year old Kodi and Daisy :) And even the Puppy In all of us too.. :) |
