I have mentioned this before but have never been able to successfully get a pic of it. I almost got it today. again i was too slow. but this will give you a general idea of my little girl trying to pee on a palm tree where every other (male) dog in this community goes to pee also.
i hope i did this right.

Haha!!! I totally missed this thread when you first started it. So cute! I love it.

Sully's jealous. All he has to pee on is a weeping willow tree. Palm trees are much cooler.

This is totally cracking me up. Does she back up to the tree or does she go sideways like the boy dogs?
Tini was lifting her leg a few times after she played with boy dogs at the pet hotel she stayed at while I was on vacation....I was glad she stopped that, but it was funny....

what she does is walk up to the tree and sniffs it - then swings her whole hind end around to throw her back legs up as high on the tree as she can -doing a 'hand stand' and pees very high on the tree. i still am trying to catch her in the full act. she is so darned quick at it. her vet wants a picture of her doing it too. i am trying really hard to get a good one. i will post as soon as i can get a real full act. i may try using the short video on the other digital.

me too! Is that a poodle thing? She never out-grew it. Did it until the day she died.

I finally got a decent pic of Ahia peeing on that tree. although she has gone higher on the tree with the back legs fully extended higher up.

we have a female lab that will "mark." so i don't think it's a poodle thing. i think it's a "oh, you think you are SooO great do you Mr. Stinky Boy dog? Well, this is MY house and Tree and YaRd and..." She will even go right over where Edgar goes. She has also mounted any male dog we have ever had.
