He only likes socks
 
Hey, My puppy (Nietzsche) is adorable and I love him oh so much, and i have to say I spoil him a lot too, i buy almost everything i can to make him as happy as possible, and he loves his snacks, but he has absolutely no interest for toys, i try everything to make him interested (even put meat sauce in one) and he keeps on ignoring them. The only objects that seem to get his attention are my sunglasses (i?m always running around trying to recover them), my socks and what used to be a stuffed monkey. Do you have any toy sugestions to help me out?Otherwise i?ll have to buy thousands of socks lol...

Mine really like their cuz toy. It is a ball with feet. Other than that they like small stuffed animals with squeakers in them

What :rolleyes: give them the toilet paper roll with out the paper??? That is taking all the fun out...:rofl28ib: Yeah, socks are the best. Mimi likes that and her little tennis ball, but I have to roll it to her first.

We call Kiba the Sock Thief. He absolutely LOVES socks! It's really cute and all, but not so cute when he gets a hold of the dirty socks and tries to chuck them at me so I can play fetch with him. :p Some of his other favorites are squeaky stuffed animals (which he enjoys tearing to shreds), and raw hide. I stuck a tennis ball inside of a sock and he seems to enjoy that as well.

Tia loves socks too! I took one of my woolly ones that I don't care for anymore and put her little tennis ball in where the toe is...she has great fun with that!

OMG Mine love socks as well. I am always running after them to take my socks back. It's a pain specially when I really need to go out. I always bring two pairs with me and I throw one to them and put mine on while they are chewing away. I have achicken that they just LOVE. I'm glad to see that is not only my dog that's ''crazy''. LOL

yap, Momiji loves to steal socks from me and runs away try to make me chase her!!!!
Hazuki (my last yorkie who is in better place now) used to love my underwear..... Every time I bring in the freshly washed cloth in the room, she jumps in the hamper and steal my cleaned underwear..... It was O.K. as long as she was in MY room but sometime she runs away to the living room... Thank goodness I never had a pleasure to meet with my parents guests when I was chasing Hazuki.... :D

Yeah..... I know this "addiction to socks", I have the same problem here...:rolleyes: Try giving a tennis ball... it helped me...

Both our babies love socks!! That's why I had Sonja from Pocomutt make Crosley the " Sock, what sock " shirt. Crosley loves to take it right off your foot as you are trying to put it on and run like the wind with it!

I think he likes your sunglasses and socks so much because he always sees you with them. Then when he gets them you chase him for them (which he sees as playing). Mine always want what we have. For example, Wes always wants pens because he always sees us with them and he's never allowed to have them.

Here is my advice...make a big deal over his toys: pick them up and squeek them and act like they are the best things ever. LIke you are having so much fun with them. That might get him interested.

I was doing a project with fleece for a few days. During those days I kept shooing Wesley away from the material because I didn't want him to tear it up. When I was done, I made him a rope toy out of the scraps. He thought it was the best thing ever. He carried it around with him. I know it was because I was so involved with it for days and finally I was sharing it with him.

Duncan loves socks. I always fight him for my socks while I am getting ready for work. When he gets one he always runs with it. He loves to shake his head with a sock in his mouth.

yep.. socks and underwear, wanted to ask before if other people had this problem but im glad someone else brought it up. Gizzie grabs them then she finds me and growls so she knows she has my attention then darts off, the little booger, so i will chase her.

Jake LOVES socks, but he also plays with his toys. They usually like stuffed toys with squeakers in them or balls. We gave Jake some old socks to play with, and he hides them when he's done playing with them lol

Of course, my Guinness loves socks as well. Along with flip flops and my boys' underwear. We've learned to keep closets and the laundry room door SHUT! Although it hasn't really helped. I did all my laundry the other day and made a pile of all my boys' boxers that Guinness has made "unwearable aka HUGE holes in the toosh" and put it next to the washer, when I'm doing laundry Guinness comes in, takes a pair all sneaky like and runs off... I've guess I've started to outsmart him because he takes off running with them like he's being bad! Hehehehe

Lily loves stuffed animal chew toys that squeak. also plastic cups, she chases it all over the house-have to watch them though because they can chew off peices of plastic.

Oh my goodness - that is too funny - Harley does the SAME thing! I think he likes to pretend that he is a Yorkie from way back and taps into his rat-hunting skills. :)

Mitzi LOVES socks too.... that's why I made the shirt with this dsign... :D I guess I should make the doggie look more like a Yorkie...
