For all the girly girl Yorkies out there... Last week or so when I picked up Schatzie and Annabelle from their grooming appts., I noticed the groomer had all these pretty bright nail polish bottles out. Im like "oh my goodness so you paint their nails too?" Well, yes indeed they do! So I was thinking maybe Schatzie will need a manicure next time she goes in, maybe a fuschia color, LOL! Have any of your Yorkie's paw's been polished up?? :p Maybe I've just completley lost my mind even considering something so ridiculous, ha ha. |

That is so funny! I would probably do it too if my groomer offered it - I'd be too scared that I'd end up painting their entire paw! :) |
i seen poodles with their nails painted bright red. i think it's cute and i wish nala would let me paint hers. i dropped her off this morning for her first grooming appt. when i pick her up i'll ask if she does that. |
My Bella has had her toes painted everytime she goes to the groomer. It's soooooo cute when it matches her bows!!!!!!!! TIP-Make sure they put some type of top coat on them so it doesn't chip. |
My Rott (Shelly) loved to have her nails painted. she would put her paw in your lap every time she saw the bottle, and then would prance around til everyone told her how pretty she was... |
I've seen the nail polish too. I am going to have Jewels done sometime. |

I just started doing Cairos last week. I picked up a bottle of the green OPI 'Pawlish' for her. It looks sooo cute!! And the best part is that I can use it too. I put it on my toes so we would match. :) I find it best to wait till she is sleeping and use a super tiny hair clip to keep the hair off while I paint the nails. I think I got more polish in her hair than I did on her toes the first time :D |

It's easier to put the Pawlish on them than it is to clip their nails or trim their paw hairs. You just have to keep them distracted and have them hold still. I'll usually do one paw, let it dry, then later do the other one. I actually bought my bottle on Ebay because it was a little cheaper that way. It's a full size bottle, and it's called Poodle Pink. |
I have tried to paint my chihuahuas nails and we always make a mess. I have to wait for her to fall asleep in my lap and even then I can only get the front paws. :p |

The sell the nail polish at PetEdge (god, it seems like i freaking WORK for them). Anyway, this reminds me of when I went to Petland to look at the dogs adn feel sorry for them once (don't worry, didn't buy anything) and the woman who worked there was talking to me and tried to convince me to get a girl dog (i had my heart set on a boy all along) so that I could paint her nails. I thought that was a stupid reason to get a girl pup, but what can I expect for someone stupid who works at Petland. |
When my cousin got her toy poodle from the breeder she had pink bows and pink nail polish on her. It was real cute!! |
The doggiedaycare I take Simon and Hallie to is the same place they get groomed so once a week the groomer (Aunt Anita is what we call her) gives Hallie some special attention and brushes her and paints her nails! I swear Hallie only prefers the pink pawlish ;) I was so surprised the first time she did it, it was so cute so now it has become their ritual and Hallie looks so pretty! |
If I had a girl- I would definately polish her paws-but I have a boy!!!Well, some boys do paint their nails, but Luig better not, my hubby would have a fit!!! I think it is adorable!!!! Sfmadrigil--- that is the cutest pic!!!!! Its a french manicure but with pink!!!! :) :) |

QUESTION for someone... I bought the green and silver OPI pawlish (couldn't find the pink yet). I haven't used it yet. I thought about giving it away because it seems like you wouldn't be able to see the pawlish because of the hair in the way. Can you see your baby's polished nails with her hair? |
