chewies for the crate for those that leave their babies alone for most the day while your at work: what do you leave in their crate? Morgan has a couple plush toys in her crate and a kong stuffed with whatever breakfast she didn't eat. I'm not too keen on the idea of leaving her bully stick or hoof in there when i can't be around to watch her with it. Does anyone leave edible chewies with their yorkies while at work? Or do you give them something else? Morgan is begining to teethe so i want to give her something to chew on, just nothing that she can choke on while i'm not there. |
I leave a flossie in her crate. When I come home, I hide it and give it to her the following day. When it gets small, I take it away and give it to her when I am around. |
I have to leave Fergie in her x-pen during the day. I leave her plush toys in with her as well as the very hard plastic chew toys. Fergie will eat a complete raw-hide type toy in one sitting if I would let her. I always leave anything that might become a choking hazard out of her pen. |

Oh I just leave some food and water in there, but nothing else. I am scared she would choke on it! Besides, she sleeps the whole time I'm gone anyway. But, the Nylabones rubber things that Shana was talking about seem like an EXCELLENT idea!   My little girl is starting to teethe, too, so I might just have to go get her some of those! :p |
i didn't get the nylabone tonight. this morning i discovered that if i wet the remains of her breakfast and then shove it in her kong its harder to get out and keeps her busy longer. she was working on it when i left and it was empty when i came home. so i guess we'll stick with that. i really hate to leave anything else in the crate when i'm not there. Oh, and she has a rope toy too which she chews on ocassionally. |
i got the rubber nylabone for gracie and she chewed pieces off of it so yeah that went to the trash! i wouldnt leave it with them alone b/c of that! i didnt think they could chew through them but she was chewing on it on my bed when i saw her! just wanted to let you guys know!:thumbdown |
