Toys that last Miko chews up his toys soo fast. I feel like all I can give him is hard rubber and rope....then he eats the rope. Soft rubber/plastic toys he distroys and plush items are not an option....they are missing ears or tails or arms in no time flat. Any suggestions? |
Oh, this is exactly how my 2 are. I can only buy toys that are advertised as "indesctructable." Mine love Kongs. They come in all shapes and sizes. However, Kong does make rope toys and tennis ball toys, which mine can't have bc they will eat them. I would just go to the pet store and look on labels and see which ones are "indestructable." That is what I did. I don't recall the names of any I bought, but I know that the pet store has a lot of them. |
I think that there are also quite a few of the life stages toys that are indestructable also. |
I bought this one little toy for Stump that is a Hippo. It's a plush toy, but the weirdest part of all is its so small that he doesn't rip it up. I can't see who makes it because he tore the tag off, but I know they come in all diffrent animals, They are about the size of my cell phone or smaller if that helps. |
found something great we have a yorkie and a chi and they had a litter and we kept a boy and we have these toys(forgive me for not knowing the name) but they are little dino looking toys that have no head and are rubber and little rubber balls that have feet and we have yet to have one destroyed and we know have several they even have a rubber ball one with feet that have little devil ears on the head of the ball...they are cute and inexpensive being that they last...they range in all sizes too....soo i for sure recommed these toys they are great! |
You need the rubber chicken flavor nylabone. Its great for knawing on and its not actually somethign they eat so it last forever. DOg love it becasue its flavored. You can get them at petsmart |
mine are not destructive, so I cant be of any help but, mine also like kongs!! |
my dogs have never torn up any of their toys and they play rough together with them. |
Kong makes alot of really good toys that seem pretty strong. I bought toys that said "indestructible" on them. We'll see if that's true lol |
The only one's that seem to last for us.......are the rope ones |
I have some really destructive dogs (non yorkie) and the only thing I have found that lasts a long time is latex toys from WalMart. They are shaped like monster dinosaur crosses and come in four shapes. Don't get vinyl, make sure it is latex. I believe these also have some stuffing in them that gives them body, but my usually de-fluffers have never de-fluffed them. After a long time though they can destroy the squeakers. But these are wonderful, last a long, long time and the best part is they are only 92 cents each. So check out Wal-Mart. Nancy |
My Girl's a Chewer too. Here's what I've found. KONGS: I thought kongs were indestructable too, until one day I heard this horrible sucking noise under the table. Ginger had removed the top of the kong and it was lodged in her mouth. Fortunately, it was too big to go down the throat and I was able to remove it. Now I inspect her kongs frequently. They are pretty tough, but don't be fooled. Nothing is completely indestructable. Other indestructable (or nearly) toys that I've found: 1. PETSTAGES orka jack (with or without rope). Ginger loves this toy. So do all the dogs at small dog club. No one's destroyed either of ours yet. It's available at Petsmart and Target 2. at TARGET I bought a tennis ball bone (it's pink, but they also had blue). So far seems pretty indestructable. 3. from J&B wholesale I buy real bones. Most dogs aren't interested, but Ginger loves them, and can chew on one forever! |
 I came across something I saw on HGTV from the PetExpo. They are called Wubba's. So far I have had success with these. I'm sure when it is all said and done mine will find some way to destroy it. But for now it works. Here is the link, I got the Wee Wubba. www.wubbaworld.com |

Can the squeaker be removed??? |
There is no squeaker, it sounds more like a baby rattle. |
