Smelly Face Does any one know of any bones or chewies that DON't make your yorkies beard smell after chewing on them? Morgan has a bully stick and a hoof and both make her little face stink after chewing on them, which makes me want to bathe her more often. I don't like the smell, its gross. |
1 Attachment(s) I have just some plain unflavored pressed rawride bones that I buy individually from the pet store. They come in different sizes, but I but the kind small enough for them to hold in their paws and chew on. Even though they are unflavored, my 2 LOVE them! The good thing about them is that they can chew them on our nice leather couch without making a mess, and they don't make their face smell bad. Also even though they are rawhide, they are VERY hard, so it is virtually impossible for them to bite off a big peice a choke. All 6 of the yorkies in my family have been chewing on these bones for years...none of them have ever broken off any peices...they really are just to chew on. We just throw them away when they get too small. |
Mine chew on dingo bones and grounded rawhide sticks |

Mine love the Petrodex Dental Chews. They have no scent at all and they really do neutralize any odor their breath might have. |
I don't think Merrick's Bully Stix smell that bad. I pay extra to get that brand. They smell like beef jerky, and it fades soon after he's done chewing. I also brush his teeth often and that helps too. I think his kibble smells worse than the bully stick. |

Yep.. not good for their tummies.. rawhide expands when wet... |
Ruthie's breeder suggested marrow bones (the ones you buy at the grocery store for soup and stuff) - they eat all the crap out of them and then chew on the bone.. because the bone is raw, it won't splinter and be dangerous for them to chew on. They can't really eat it, they just chew it. Ruthie and Oscar LOVE their pigs tails they were recommended by Oscar's breeder. They are called Texas Toothpicks and they have absolutely NO smell - here's a link of what they look like: http://www.renspets.com/mm5/merchant...egory_Code=CHW |
