Hide & Seek
 

Sadie invented her own game:

She goes to the cabinet where she knows I keep her food, treats, chews, etc. and will stand there and bark until I open it up. Knowing what she wants, I reach in and give her one of her chews (the dental CET chews I get from the vet). Then she runs over to her bed that I keep in the living room and begins to bury it. I usually will throw a towel in the bed just so she can bury it better. Side note: seriously bad hair when she is finished burying since she uses her head to cover it up...I'll have to get a pic one of these days

When she's finished burying it, she backs up and starts barking at it. She will NOT quit barking until I go over there and make a big deal out of finding it. "Where is it? OH, look!! THERE IT IS!! MOMMY FOUND IT!!" Then I give it back to her and she'll go find somewhere else to bury it. The couch, her toy box, etc. She's really getting creative with her spots & is starting to go to other rooms with it and she comes to tell me when she's finished and I follow her to that room. She usually kind of shows me where it is and then I "find" it all over again.

She plays this for an hour or so & then will finally sit down & just chew on the thing. It's funny, though, because this is the only thing she does like this. All her other toys are played with like they're supposed to be.

I play hide and seek with Baby too, but a little differently. I throw her toy, and run and hide. As soon as she knows she can't see me she drops the toy from her mouth onto the floor. Then she comes to find me. As soon as she finds me I say loudly in a funny voice, "You found me!!!" And then she jumps all over like crazy! It's so cute, I love it. :D

How Cute!!! Reuger has a game where he takes a toy and waits for me to reach for it, then he grabs it away. Then he'll lay it within my reach for me to do it again. Sometimes I'll hide it behind my back or under my legs and he'll search for it. Aren't they a lot of fun?

Paisley loves to play hide and seek with his own bone. This actually lasts a few days, b/c he will leave it somewhere then find it two days later...He loves it!! ;)

How neat! Creating a game WITH rules is a sign of great doggie intelligence. Way to go Sadie.

Jaxon and I play hide and seek just like BabyFidgette. I throw his soccer ball and then run to hide. He gets so excited when he finds me. :D

Diamond plays hide & seek also. She loves when i run around hiding from her. Sometimes I hate to quit but I gets o tired:)
